Agree it is our job to change where we live.
Has anyone heard of The John Birch Society? I hope it's a good organization because I'm probably joining it. I'm very concerned about America right now. At no other time have I felt so strongly the truth of Scripture:
1 John 5:19
“
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
I follow Pastor Bradlee Dean. He sent this out yesterday:
Eschatology – “End Timers” Just Want to Be “Raptured” From Responsibility
Written by: Bradlee DeanJune 24, 2019
“Today’s church wants to be raptured from responsibility.” -Leonard Ravenhill
Many of my readers know my scriptural stance on the end timers and their theories, and theories they are especially when it comes to what many are taught concerning the rapture. By the way, the word “rapture” itself is not found in the Word of God. You know how these false teachers sicken me to the very core. These have left off Scripture and my love does not afford their false doctrine to go uncorrected, if not for themselves, then for their biblically illiterate listeners (2 Timothy 3:16).
The End Times “Gloom and Doom” Filthy Hippies!
Oh, how these false teachers love to use the consequence of worldly circumstance to move their followers to accept Jesus as an insurance plan from Hell, which is unbiblical, rather than repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 3:2; Acts 20:21; Galatians 3:24). Their fruit is manifest. Just look at how bad things have gotten and little did their listeners know that things have gotten so bad because of their disobedience towards God and Man (Deuteronomy 8:11; Psalm 78:1-10)
Listen carefully…
First, people need to understand that these false teachers want to bestow upon their listeners (2 Timothy 4:3) information that Jesus, when He was Incarnate, was denied by telling His followers:
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” -Matthew 24:36
Second, why would the Man of War (Exodus 15:3) raise up an Army only to pull them out right before the battle? Did the Lord do that with Abraham, with Moses, with Joshua, with the children of Israel, with Caleb, with Gideon, with Samson, with David, etc? Of course not, He has not in the past and will not in the future.
What of His disciples? Eleven of the twelve were martyred and yet, we have these falsely teaching that the Lord is going to show favor to a new sect of disobedient hippies that they are not going to have to bear their cross (Matthew 16:24-26), to suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12), and possibly die in the process of bearing witness for Christ.
The Church is called to occupy until He comes (Luke 19:13).
How foreign to Scripture are these heretics:
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” -Ephesians 6:10-16
Furthermore, Jesus prayed not that they should be raptured from responsibility, but that they should remain in the fight in fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).
“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” -John 17:15
