Luke 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

There were those who looked for the redemption of Israel (Luke 2:38 Isaiah 59:20) and thought Jesus to be that Redeemer.

24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

The eleven being gathered together had their understanding of the scriptures opened to them. The scriptures were those of the law and the prophets. The mystery revealed to Paul was not hid in these scriptures, as it was hid in God (Ephesians 3:9); therefore they could not have known it even at this time.

24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

The eleven were to go and preach remission of sins in the name of Jesus. This was not the same as the gospel Paul would preach. They were to teach the nations in the kingdom to observe all they were commanded by Jesus and baptize them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19-20).

24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

They would have the Holy Spirit poured out unto them at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4) and be endued with power for the Davidic kingdom on earth (Mark 11:10).

You are obsessed with "the Davidic kingdom on earth" when Christ clearly told the apostles to focus on the Great Commission (worldwide) and the establishment of the Church -- NOT THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

It is only after the Second Coming of Christ that the Davidic kingdom -- under Christ -- will be established on earth. And the Church will NOT be a part of that kingdom. It will be redeemed Jews in restored Israel, and saved nations surrounding greater Israel.

Hello
Christ gave the "great commission" to the eleven which was to be fulfilled in the Davidic kingdom. They were to teach and be a blessing to the Gentile nations (Micah 4:2 Matthew 28:19 Genesis 18:18). The body of Christ to obey this "great commission" would have to start in Jerusalem (Luke 24:47). The "commission" was not fulfilled because in Galatians 2:9 it was determined that Paul was to go to the Gentiles.
This is why I teach what I do....to help clear up confusion and error where I can.

You think you are addressing error and confusion when you are actually promoting it.

Hello
Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
If this is a verse which the church today should take as it's "great commission" we have a problem.
Then our gospel would say that baptism was necessary for salvation according to the next verse (Mark 16:16).

We have a "great commission" and is found in the following verse:
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
