John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God in the flesh.

Jesus is all grace and truth; it resides in him and is bestowed upon undeserving mankind.

By grace Jesus shed his blood for the new testament to save Israel for the Davidic kingdom (Jeremiah 31:33 Mark 14:24).

Although Jesus was sent only to the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24), God by grace made provision to save the Gentiles also. Peter speaks of the grace that saved them as well as the Gentiles, to all who believed the word preahed unto them (Acts 15:11).

There is a future grace in which Israel will be a blessing to the Gentile nations in the Davidic kingdom (Isaiah 60:3).

We have received the grace of God in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:7 Romans 5:2) in our dispensation.

The grace of Christ Jesus has made us accepted in God (Ephesians 1:6).

We have redemption and the forgiveness of sins through his blood according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7).

We have been saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8).

It has been said that the Lord Jesus held truth without legalism and grace without compromise. "Full of grace and truth".

More of the same old NONSENSE. Even the Messianic Jews would laugh at your interpretations.

THE WORD OF GOD (JOHN 3)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

THE HERESY OF DOUG
16 For God so loved ISRAEL, that he gave his only begotten Son, that ANY JEW WHO believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into
ISRAEL to condemn ISRAEL; but that ISRAEL through him might be saved.

But He came for Israel, they just wouldn't accept him. We(gentiles), were blessed to be included. Of course our Heavenly Father loves us all. Amen

John 1.11-12:

"He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name".

@Acolyte PS: I think it calls for a lot of humility also for those of us from a Gentile background when we consider that it was the circumstance of Israel's partial unbelief that were were ever grafted as well into God's purposes of blessing in Christ.

That's not the point. Jesus came to this earth as the Savior of the world, as well as the Messiah of Israel. Indeed His first converts were Gentile (or semi-Gentile) Samaritans. See John 4. And in fact His first worshippers were Gentile Magi from Arabia!

The Calvinists claim that He died only for the so-called elect. And if we buy into Doug's theory then Christ died only for Israel, and the Gentiles were a mere afterthought. But that is NOT what the Bible says at all.

LUKE 2
25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,[JESUS]
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

God had already anticipated the rejection of Christ by Israel: The Stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (Ps 118:22,23)... Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the Stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (Acts 4:10,11)

So Christ would come TO Israel, but not exclusively FOR Israel. Big difference.

All part of His wonderful plan. Makes me want to burst out like the kool-aid man! Oh, yeah!!
Truely Blessed.

Redemption, Justification, Sanctification, and Salvation!

Redemption: 100 percent the work of God, thru the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ! All mankind are redeemed in Christ! Eph 2
Galatians 2:16 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law...
Christ alone accomplished the redemption of mankind apart from any works on our part!

Justification: our acceptance of redemption thru faith and baptism! Become a disciple and member of Christ and His Church! Jn 3:5 acts 2:38 Mk 16:16 He who believes and is baptized shall be saved. 1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Sanctification: the life of grace in the holy sacrifice of the mass and sacraments, prayer, virture, and good works, the just living by faith, and faith working thru love! Phil 1:29 called to suffer with Christ.
All done in Christ thru His grace! Jn 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Salvation: a christian in the state if grace at the moment of death we enter into the salvation of the Lord! Mt 24:44-47 faithful servant! Jn 15:1-5 abide in me. Mt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Heb 4:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Rom 13:11 ...for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Suffering required for glorification with Christ!

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

1 Pet 3:20
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!
(Ark of Noah a type of the church, member of Christ and his church and salvation by baptism!)
(Outside the ark all died and outside the church there is no salvation!)

Faith is part of works!

Works is defined as something we choose to do, volition!

Faith is also works because you have to choose to believe! Jn 1:12 Jn 3:16 rom 10:9

And continue to believe, a perpetual state of believing. Matt 24:13 Jn 15:1-5

In grace works have merit

————

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

All are redeemed

————

Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
