Dispensationalists understand the Bible to be organized into seven dispensations: Innocence (Genesis 1:1—3:7), Conscience (Genesis 3:8—8:22), Human Government (Genesis 9:1—11:32), Promise (Genesis 12:1Exodus 19:25), Law (Exodus 20:1Acts 2:4), Grace (Acts 2:4Revelation 20:3), and the Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:4–6). Again, these dispensations are not paths to salvation, but manners in which God relates to man. Each dispensation includes a recognizable pattern of how God worked with people living in the dispensation. That pattern is 1) a responsibility, 2) a failure, 3) a judgment, and 4) grace to move on.

Dispensationalism, as a system, results in a premillennial interpretation of Christ’s second coming and usually a pretribulational interpretation of the rapture. To summarize, dispensationalism is a theological system that emphasizes the literal interpretation of Bible prophecy, recognizes a distinction between Israel and the Church, and organizes the Bible into different dispensations or administrations.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The only thing that should have been included is "the dispensation of the fulness of times" which would extend from the Millennium into eternity.

Showing the gospels being under the law makes the whole paper card building come tumbling down. It requires a full misunderstanding of the gospel to do this.

There is no mention of the kingdom of God that all the apostles (including Jesus) preached. We are to seek first what you have placed under the law.

Paul's gospel was that of the kingdom of God which is ACCORDING to grace. There is no such thing as a "grace gospel" unless one wants to fall into the category of "another gospel"....as warned against by Paul.

"The Gospels" were not under the Law, and everything that Jesus did and said was according to grace (unless dealing with specific matters under the Old covenant, such as the temple tax, or lepers showing themselves to the priest, etc.). But Jesus of Nazareth was clearly under the Law. Not only did He fully obey the Law, but He fulfilled the Law.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, To redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Gal 4:4,5)

That ended at the cross. And Acts transitions from the ascension of Christ to Pentecost and beyond.

So the many Jewish Laws about conducting honest business deals, treating others right, and specific sexual behaviors, are now things we Christians can just ignore since Jesus took care of them in another "Dispensation."? (and there are hundreds more, as you all know... they didn't all simply talk about what to eat or what to wear)

Even Paul wrote that "the law is good." Personally, I think we should still try to follow a great many of them.

Paul summed it up as follows: ... and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Rom 13:9).
