Her vision is 20/20 Amadeus... It must be because her vision isn't her own, it is her church's vision, and that, or so we are told, is perfect. Can't be improved. Infallible.
You would not have any sarcasm included in your words, would you, my friend? LOL. Give God the glory!

Actually what @quietthinker said was not so far from what I believe. You call it "theory" but I would call it rather a "vision" as the scripture describes it. My vision while perhaps still in the area of which Apostle Paul mentions is improving with each touch by Jesus. You have your vision, but do you believe it is already face to face clear or is it growing better as you walk with the Lord?
It is a theory and BIZARRE....which I believe is also what I called it.

I will add another word: unscriptural

No, I don't have a "vision". Your "vision" (theory) means NOTHING. I am not the pillar and foundation of truth...the Church is. You know the one? The ONE we are supposed to go to when we want to fulfill Matthew 18:17....the ONE that has the power to bind and loosen....the ONE Church that Jesus spoke of that has "sound doctrine".....Not bizarre doctrine.

Well it means to take what Christ teaches to heart. Renew the mind. Let the Word become life and energy like food is life and energy to the body since we must follow Christ to live an abundant life.

I like analogies...
Hi Mayflower,

Take His teaching to heart? You mean like Luther, Zwingili and Calvin did? Their heart showed them something different then Clement, Ignatius, and Polycarp.

Soooo who's mind was better renewed and which one's followed Christ to a more abundant life?

Marymog, I'm really not surprised that you don't understand my expression 'ingest his values' Could it be that you are unfamiliar with all of Jesus's words in the scriptures? One thing is certain, he was not talking about cannibalism neither was he talking about the bread being magically transformed into his literal flesh (body) .....that deduction is the result of a darkened mind, a mind that has adopted the superstitious mumbo jumbo of paganism.
In post #216 Mayflower unfolded 'ingest his values' beautifully.
Hi QT,

Hmmmmm......so let me see if I have your theory right. You believe that anyone that who believes the bread turns into His flesh those people have a darkened mind and it is all "superstitious mumbo jumbo of paganism"??? Fascinating.....

That means that Ignatius of Antioch, an student of the Apostle John, has a darkened mind and believes superstitious mumbo jumbo of paganism.

The writer of the Didache spoke of the same mumbo jumbo.

I believe Jesus when he said this IS my flesh. He then said you MUST eat my flesh.....You don't believe Him :(

Post #216 by @Mayflower has NOTHING to do with eating His body like He said we MUST do.

Post 216 is cute and an interesting theory....but nothing to do with eating his body.

Sorry you are negative. Negative faith is problem with a great many Protestants...and Catholics. Jesus did say...

"...according to your faith be it unto you." Matt 9:29

You say it is unscriptural but if I had time and inclination could present a totally scriptural argument here. But doing that would waste your time and mine since you would not receive it from me.

As to your lack of "vision", you should be more careful with what you say... according to scripture:

"Where there is no vision, the people perish:... Prov 29:18

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Cor 13:12

Hi Mayflower!...I have a hard time going to church these days...they seem so dried up and withered....no power....and I need a church where I can be fed....not milk but MEAT of His Word. I want to be promoted in my spiritual walk not demoted or remain in the same spot forever. I keep finding myself having difficulty with whether or not I can sense the spirit of Love in a church...it amazes me how unloving some churches are especially to a new member. But I am like you...I love, love, love the Praise and Worship part of the service.

I've noticed the same thing. My husband doesn't want to go to church anymore because he feels he isn't getting the right teaching. I think maybe some churches are good for awhile but then there comes a day when God may have you move - I don't know. Some churches are good when you're a new believer but you may outgrow them when there is less than in-depth teaching. But a lot of churches have become more of a social club IMO - which is good in some respects because we need to have fellowship. But we also need the meat - as you say.

I believe we are in the times of refreshing .. God is pouring out His Spirit and a new Awakening is rising up. Those who have become asleep will receive a fresh anointing...the new oil... and they will rise up walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit...manifesting miracles through us. Restoring His Church once again.
At the same time there is a great falling away...:(
people are testifying all over the world of miracles like never before are happening in the body of Christ.
We are being prepared to receive the harvest like in the days of Pentecost.

I haven't seen a lot of refreshing - at least in my field of vision - what I see more is a falling away. Maybe it has to do with what we're each exposed to - I don't get out a lot and go more by what I read. Every day I read the news I get weak-kneed and wonder when God is going to end it finally. It looks to me like the battle lines are being drawn: you can really see who belongs to God, who pretends to belong to God, and the people who are outright in Satan's camp.

But I have sensed God very close, and I have had a few prayers answered that were a long time coming that were from the Hand of God. I'm just getting impatient - the things going on right now are ungodly. All the security I felt growing up is no longer there - so much is corrupt now, and I've encountered my share.

It's a good time to evangelize.

Yeah it's very depressing watching what is happening around the world on the news. I decided to quit watching it so much and tune into programs that minister to me. I love hearing peoples testimonies of what God is doing in their lives, of His Miracles many have received and witnessed and hearing people share the Word they have received from the Holy Spirit. I get so many confirmations of what I have heard as well.
Sid Roth's program really blesses me....as does many others.

I'll keep his name in mind. It is hard to look around - the biggest thing that bothers me is that my family is inheriting this world. I pray a lot more and I evangelize trying to do my part. I read that they entire goal of the elite is to wipe out Christianity. They have control of Hollywood, and educations so that does not bode well for the future.

If anyone cares to look into it: The Coming “New World Order”

Good for the believer to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2). :)

I have given up on going to Church nowadays because there are only back biters in it now, that are all trying to be good little socialist and idolise Political Correctness as another one of there gods that must be obeyed, always had them in the Church but they have driven all the honest to God people out.
I have such people openly saying to me why they go to Church is to get all the gossip ect ect and when you want to talk about the Bible or Jesus Christ, then that the last thing that they want to talk about, be it that they fear that they know very little or just Jesus is not on there mind at all or get all stuck up claiming only the Priest talks about such things and then you find out that the so called priest knows nothing much really at all.

The Church has become a Joke, even my father in law says to me the latest dig that he has had at the hopeless simple minded uninformed Priest over the years that he has had to endure, he has a good laugh about it and he is 90yo but he is truly peed off about them as well, he says what idiots that they are and I was even siting with one at the dinner table and I did not even know she was one, at the end of the night he said that's our Priest laughing about it to me and I was stunned.
