You should RUN from Brian Simmons instead of embracing him.....IMO.
This Brian Simmons?
Dr. Brian Simmons is a Bible teacher, linguist, minister, and former missionary. As a missionary, he and his wife, Candice, pioneered church plants in Central America. As a linguist, Brian co-translated the Kuna New Testament for the Paya-Kuna people of Panama.

After a dramatic conversion to Christ in 1971, Brian answered a calling from God to leave everything behind, become a missionary, and bring the gospel to unreached tribes. Taking their family of three children to the jungles of Central America, he and his wife pioneered and shepherded church plants among the Kuna people group for many years. While serving as missionaries Brian witnessed firsthand God’s powerful gospel-movement among the nations through spiritual revival. As a linguist, Brian also served as a co-translator for the Kuna New Testament, providing this unreached people group with a copy of God’s Word for the first time.

After their ministry overseas, Brian and Candice returned to North America, where Brian began to passionately work toward helping people encounter the risen Christ and His story of redemption. Brian and Candice birthed numerous ministries, including a dynamic church in Connecticut. They also established Stairway Ministries under which they travel full-time as Bible teachers in service of local churches throughout the world with the gospel. Brian serves as U.S. director for Harvest International Ministries, which oversees a network of nearly 20,000 churches and ministries worldwide.

Brian is the author of numerous books that promote the redemption and reconciliation of the nations through Christ and extension of His kingdom. His best-selling book, The Journey of the Bride, has been translated into Korean and French and has now been reprinted as The Sacred Journey. Other titles include: The Wilderness: Where Miracles are Born, Prayer Partners with Jesus, The Dreamer, The Stairway, The Prophet of Zion, Moses the Deliverer, I Hear His Whisper volumes 1 and 2, and The Image Maker.

Brian and Candice have been married for over forty-five years and have three children, six grandchildren, and two precious great-granddaughters. Their passion is to be loving examples of a spiritual father and mother to our generation.

I've been in churches that have broken up and those that have remained stable. Yet one theme I see constantly running through churches and Christian forums are Christians who vehemently disagree - about Scripture, about prophecy, about whether we're to act or be passive, and about the color of the moon.

I know that not all have the Holy Spirit and that there are false brethren. But why so much disagreement among professing believers?

I'm curious to know others' beliefs about this.

Because Protestantism is dialectic

Ignorance.
I will plainly state that Soverign Grace has (IMO) an obsession with Conspiracies..... but I think you are way out of bounds to call her words "ignorant." She is far from being an ignorant person.

"No", don't try the old game of saying you only meant that she lacked awareness, or some such feeble "walk-back" as that. You know you intend a personal slam toward either her or the people she spoke of being in disagreement, and so do we.

So, how about going back and editing that post a bit? Is she or the others misinformed (in your opinion)? A little short in sufficient study? Perhaps. But, your particular choice of words wasn't accidental, nor accurate.

I presumed he meant ' ignorance ' is the reason behind disagreements between Christian's.
I didn't think he was saying SG was ignorant!

"Ignorance!!!" Why do we hide behind claiming that is just an innocent descriptive word? It is deliberately meant to be derogatory, and I think we really should watch the way we throw it around.

Well, if you and SG were in disagreement, he is saying it about at least one of you.... is he not?

I know he may have meant that just the atmosphere of "ignorance" is to blame.... but just throwing that one word out there like that doesn't cut it.

Do you read minds? I didn't say he was ignorant. He asked a question. Why is there such disagreement among Christians. My answer is ignorance. There is a lot if ignorance about what the Bible teaches. There is a multitude of denominations, many claiming the Bible teaches things that it simply doesn't teach. That is ignorance. When several of the most universally believed Christian doctrines aren't in the Bible, that is ignorance. I don't play the name calling game as some do. I can back my arguments up.

You should make sure you're understanding someone before you accuse them of something.

Then why not expend enough effort to post more than just one word?

Because I was waiting to see if I got a response from the OP. Too often I've seen posts where someone starts a thread and then never comes back to reply. My question is why do you assume the worst from someone you've not interacted with? You presumed to know my intentions and then suggest that I not try to walk it back.
