You'd probably do better if you focused on making a cogent argument, instead of venting and calling names.

Proverbs 16:23 The heart of the wise shall instruct his mouth: and shall add grace to his lips.
This is not an argument. Nor did I call names. But you, you call others liars and then lie yourself.

We are all sinners, every one of us.
But you addressed the wrong issue.

As I said, your comment here is NOT biblical. Not an argument, a fact. Or if you prefer, for you to say that...is a lie.

Lol....perhaps there is pressure and gasses that move it upward.

Occasionally. They are called "geysers." When the mantle is very close to the surface, volcanic rock heats water that seeps down into it. Hot gasses and pressure (mostly steam) shoot them up. Artesian wells are just water popping up from higher elevations via impermeable rock.
Artesian aquifer - Wikipedia

Water will travel along the path of least resistance...so maybe there are geographical formations to allow it.

See above. The Romans did all sorts of engineering wonders with water, but it only works if the water is originally higher then where you want it.

China and Italy have the largest number of deaths. Italy's was due to improper containment procedures and poor hygiene. China had to go there and educate them on how to quarantine and establish control tactics such as shutting down public places.

China has flattened the curve; it's going to be better now. We aren't remotely close to that as a country.

An epidemic, when finished shows curves like these:

Epidemic_curve_from_the_WHO_Situation_Report_yellow_fever_in_Angola%2C_15_September_2016.png

Notice the "tail" is typically longer than the lead-up to the exponential phase.

This is not an argument.

It's God's word from Proverbs. Might not be something we'd like to hear, but it's true.

Nor did I call names.

You've been a bit aggressive, attributing unkind things to me. Here's an example:

But you, you call others liars and then lie yourself.

I would be interested in knowing where I called anyone a liar. Don't recall that. (Barbarian checks) Don't see it. What do you have?

And I don't say anything here that I don't believe to be true. So there is that.

Why do you compare the USA with China? Unless you subconsciously wish that it was like China -- controlled by Communists like Cuomo, who has the worst situation in his state.

"Confirmed cases" is not the same is actual cases and may be only 1/7th of total cases.

So if there are presently about 63,000 confirmed cases in the USA, the actual cases are closer to 441,000 (since not everyone is tested, nor does everyone report if it is a mild infection).

The present total deaths are 894 which would be 0.002 % of all cases. Now if you take the total population of the USA as 330 million, the percentage of deaths is only 0.000003%!

It's time to shut down the Shut Down and lock up Pelosi and Schumer.

We can learn from China as to the medical/epidemiological controls that got the pandemic under control there. Chinese epidemiologists seem to have been successful in Italy as well, looks like the epidemic may have peaked there, too.

Unless you subconsciously wish that it was like China --

If I wanted it to be like China, I'd be in favor of just seizing and locking up freely elected representatives of the people. Like the guy who wrote this:

It's time to shut down the Shut Down and lock up Pelosi and Schumer.

controlled by Communists like Cuomo, who has the worst situation in his state.

Actually, Cuomo wouldn't stand for the tactics advocated by that communist who wanted to suspend the Constitution and lock up elected officials he doesn't like. But then, Cuomo's a capitalist, so that makes sense.

"Confirmed cases" is not the same is actual cases and may be only 1/7th of total cases.

Yes. It could be a whole lot worse; we're still not doing a very good job of testing. Cuomo got on the ball, and has been doing more testing than other states. Not surprisingly, he's turned up a lot of cases.

So if there are presently about 63,000 confirmed cases in the USA, the actual cases are closer to 441,000 (since not everyone is tested, nor does everyone report if it is a mild infection).

Like influenza, the vast majority of infected people don't get reported. Mortality rates are for actual reported case that need medical care.

The present total deaths are 894 which would be 0.002 % of all cases.

Yeah. That's why the cited 3.4 mortality rate for COVID-19. We're using the same metrics as used for the flu. Thought you knew.

Now if you take the total population of the USA as 330 million, the percentage of deaths is only 0.000003%!

Actually, 0.0000028. For now. But the curve is still in the exponential phase. We don't know yet where it's going to top off. Here's where we were yesterday:

upload_2020-3-25_17-16-30.png

They figure it might peak out in several weeks. Follow the line. I hope they are wrong, but I suspect that they aren't.

I wasn't joking about scripture, but whatever floats your boat.

YOU ARE CORRECT! You were MOCKING Scripture:

Lke 22:35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.

So yeah, make all the "fun" you want:

Matt. 12:31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

One technique used by China as a country was not treating every area the same way. I found that interesting and it may be a clue about how the US will go if it wants to emerge from the crisis balancing the economy and health. Treating every state (or even every area within a state) the exact same way could make things worse. Recently, I'd say "So far, so good" about Trump not trying to dictate to all the states what to do. In areas where there's low risk, people will rebel if kept in lock-down too long. It could also damage the economy of the entire nation. Trump is aware that both need to be balanced -- I think that's a good thing.

Loosening lock-downs at the same time across the nation could also prove disastrous, creating more infection.

He may never admit it; but he seems to have learned too that he can't control a virus by words alone and denying there's a problem. I think he knows if he keeps denying things, he'll be in a worse spot politically so lying would hurt him not help. That too is a good thing since it would show he learned from his mistakes. Who''s perfect? I don't ask anyone to be perfect; but it is great when people learn from their mistakes.

COVID-19 epidemic in the United States:

11 days from 15 to 60

7 days from 60 to 221

5 days from 221 to 994

5 days from 994 to 3615

5 days from 3619 to 19367

5 days from 19367 to 66048 (so far)

Roughly, it's quadrupling every 5 days.

Oh, good grief. I was making fun of you, not the verse. How in the blue blazes do you get speaking against the Holy Spirit from a joke about you wearing a sword in walmart? You really need to chill.

One major responsibility of a Christian is to remember that there's difference between being a Christian, and being God.

Oh, good grief. I was making fun of you, ...

It's ok, I don't see anything wrong with "teasing" GOD's anointed:

2 Kings 2:23 He went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead! 24 And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.

There's no risk for your childish behavior ...

The claim: The coronavirus would weaken “when we get into April, in the warmer weather—that has a very negative effect on that, and that type of a virus.”

That's how we know he was lying. No one knows for sure yet. But he told us it would happen.

The truth: It’s too early to tell if the virus’s spread will be dampened by warmer conditions. Respiratory viruses can be seasonal, but the World Health Organization says that the new coronavirus “can be transmitted in ALL AREAS, including areas with hot and humid weather.”

April, I'll come back and let you know how it worked, O.K.?

The claim: The outbreak would be temporary: “It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle—it will disappear.”

The truth: Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned days later that he was concerned that “as the next week or two or three go by, we’re going to see a lot more community-related cases.”

It's not how epidemics go. They rise exponentially, plateau for a bit, and then fall to very low levels.

The claim: If the economic shutdown continues, deaths by suicide “definitely would be in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about” for COVID-19 deaths.

Again, how do you know this is a lie? We already have a staggering amount of suicide in this country and who is to say it will not get higher?

There are about 123 suicides per day in the United States. COVID-19 is killing about 9 times that many people each day.
The truth: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that, in a worst-case scenario, 200,000 to 1.7 million Americans could die from COVID-19, The New York Times reports. Other estimates place the number of possible deaths at 1.1 million to 1.2 million. According to the CDC, suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. But the number of people who died by suicide in 2017, for example, was roughly 47,000—nowhere near the COVID-19 estimates.

The claim: The Trump White House rolled back Food and Drug Administration regulations that limited the kind of laboratory tests states could run and how they could conduct them. “The Obama administration made a decision on testing that turned out to be very detrimental to what we’re doing,” Trump said.

The truth: The Obama administration drafted, but never implemented, changes to rules that regulate laboratory tests run by states. Trump’s policy change relaxed an FDA requirement that would have forced private labs to wait for FDA authorization to conduct their own, non-CDC-approved coronavirus tests.

He lied. It never happened. But he did it.

The claim: The Obama White House’s response to the H1N1 pandemic was “a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now.”

The truth: Barack Obama declared a public-health emergency two weeks after the first U.S. cases of H1N1 were reported, in California. (Trump declared a national emergency more than seven weeks after the first domestic COVID-19 case was reported, in Washington State.) While testing is a problem now, it wasn’t back in 2009. The challenge then was vaccine development: Production was delayed and the vaccine wasn’t distributed until the outbreak was already waning.

As usual, Trump just made up a story that had nothing whatever to do with reality.

The claim:Anybody that needs a test, gets a test. We—they’re there. They have the tests. And the tests are beautiful.

The truth: The country’s testing capabilities are severely limited. Many states have experienced a lack of testing kits, as my colleagues Alexis Madrigal and Robinson Meyer have reported. Trump made this claim one day after his own vice president, Mike Pence, admitted that “we don’t have enough tests today to meet what we anticipate will be the demand going forward.”

Even his vice president denied his claim.

The claim: In an Oval Office address, Trump said that private health-insurance companies had “agreed to waive all co-payments for coronavirus treatments, extend insurance coverage to these treatments, and to prevent surprise medical billing.”
Read: The dangerous delays in U.S. coronavirus testing haven’t stopped

This is what they had talked about, but yes, and agreement overall was not reached on certain portions of this.

Yep. He shouldn't have lied about it. Or, if he didn't know, he shouldn't have made up a story to cover. Lie, either way.

The claim: Google engineers are building a website to help Americans determine whether they need testing for the coronavirus and to direct them to their nearest testing site.

It's a lie:
The truth: The announcement was news to Google itself—the website Trump (and other administration officials) described was actually being built by Verily, a division of Alphabet, the parent company of Google. The Verge first reported on Trump’s error, citing a Google representative who confirmed that Verily was working on a “triage website” with limited coverage for the San Francisco Bay Area. But since then, Google has pivoted to fulfill Trump’s public proclamation, saying it would speed up the development of a new, separate website while Verily worked on finishing its project, The Washington Post reported.

Trump habitually reconstructs reality to fit his imagination, and then announces it as if it were true. This is just one of many.
So none of these are really lies, you are just twisting things, or taking things out of context, or being OVER literal. I bet you also think Trump requested Russia to get Clinton's emails right?

So none of these are really lies,

They are all lies. Some of them he knew to be false like the claim that the epidemic was "contained." Some were just thing he made up from his imagination and claimed to be true.

I bet you also think Trump requested Russia...

Sorry, no bunny trails for you, today.
You and I both know he lied about these things. The difference is, some of them he knew were lies and other things he just made up out of his imagination. Both are lies.
