Realize that ALL the Apostles (oops JESUS FIRST) is Jewish.
Most all the first disciples were Jewish also.
And all or most of the first gentiles joined with the Jews , if they wanted to be with God. (both before, and after Jesus, specifically in the first century for this context(this thread, here).
They TRUSTED , and TRUST JESUS, as gentiles or as Jews, TRUSTING JESUS is KEY (for receiving Salvation).
So a gentile usually did, and still can, become JEWISH, if he desires to, and be IN JESUS! completely SAVED IN JESUS!
Even a catholic can be saved IN JESUS, if they come to JESUS* (by God's unmerited favor) ! (i.e. not just generic gentiles)
