Yes, true. Have I ever said otherwise? lol!
@Nancy Exactly! whether or not Christians have at some stage had a bit of tattoo fun (and some even use it seriously in witness designs) has little or nothing to do with whether they are truly ready for the Lord's coming... :)

@Nancy @Rita @Waiting on him @Sabertooth PS: I know you guys might not want to add more; just wanted to say to you guys that as regards the fun thing, quite definitely some ppl do treat tattoos as a bit of fun; while others treat it so seriously. Whether the Christian at some stage or other has treated it as a bit of fun (and some ppl really don't have a lot of fun in their lives, otherwise) or whether it's been really seriously undertaken at some stage of their lives, is something which in the long run has little to do with one's eventual spiritual state and walk with the Lord.

Also there's the witness design aspect, of course.

But as regards the fun aspect, when many years ago it was a man only thing to do, this was really a bit like saying that yes, the men can have a bit of fun with ink. But women can't.

So now that it's opened up a lot for women to do confidently as well as men, at least from this perspective, the fun aspect, I suppose ppl would say it's a bit fairer now.

(And frankly, a lot of ppl - middle aged or older often don't have a great deal of fun otherwise, do they.)

Just more of my 2c....what I was thinking...

I am a 2e-autistic. I am still up for fun (after all of the responsibilities are taken care of).

PS: Some of you guys have rightly bowed out of the discussion if you don't have anything further to contribute.

I can see though that the situation which pertained years ago when only men could confidently have a bit of what might or might not be called creative fun with ink has, in the opinion of many ppl, changed for the better.

This is quite apart from the witness potential side of tattoo designs, which is also very relevant.

I believe each of us needs to decide on our own if a tattoo is something we want. This thought process needs to take much time. I took 18 months to make this decision. Praying about it , studying it and coming to the conclusion that was ok. .. For me, the funniest thing is when someone tells me how I'm not suppose to be 'marked' upon and yet one can see their many faults in their lives. Someone once mentioned to me that I shouldn't have gotten the tattoo because it was sinful, and yet they were at least 150# over weight. In other threads getting to know this guy one could see they simple loved to eat. Being overweight was something he could prevent, but didn't yet he wanted to rush in a thread where we were talking about tattoos and tell me how sinful I was. .. Each day I am stronger in my belief and trust in God and what he has in store for me. Believe it or not, this tattoo serves as a simple reminder to me to do right.
JamieinNH: Some ppl do indeed feel really comfortable and good about their faith related ink. (What an irony also from your critic! :) )
