Oh that evil one is very subtle. Very experienced in the ways of humans. He watch's every move we make, every word we speak...he knows our relationships, fears, doubts, weaknesses...and more. And this is simply from observation as, he can not know our inner thoughts but, he can sure use what he does see and hear to push our personal buttons.
Satan has his talons in every single thing and is always attempting to skew what God made good into evil. If you want to read an excellent book about how satan works in such subtle ways, read C.S. Lewis's Screwtape Letters.
Just watch "FAMILY" Feud... since I don't watch TV, and my niece is now living with me, I will catch a few things and she was watching Family Feud. I was shocked at some of the questions being asked; very risque! All that came to mind was, they really need to take the "Family" part out of the game title. SMH. We should know his wiles and ways well. Always being on guard, every minute. Because "if even the very elect can be deceived..." - we need to do double duty and make our awareness sharp as a tack! Always on our guards.
Satan is not to be trifled with...God rebuke you Satan, it is written that he MUST flee at the name of Jesus Christ and I for one, am very grateful to use His authority to cast satan far from my mind...never ends, really!
Good and very important post.
Speak the Word! It is written..! Amen!

As Christians we can identify God. I sense the Holy Spirit, i can see God through his manifestations like the night sky, nature or a new born baby.

But i notice that many Christians (maybe most) cannot identify Satan, his will or his manifestations. Some Christians, like my parents, choose to ignore Satan in the hope that he won't interfere. I think some don't really think that Satan exists. While others think they don't have to worry about him.

Well... Not even Jesus was immune from the temptations of the devil. So to be claiming your free from evil temptation is to claim that u are better than Christ, higher than Christ. Its a claim that blows my mind.

Spiritual warfare is real. Paul talks about it, he knows... There is a Spiritual war in our minds for control of the flesh. There is a Spiritual war in the world, in society. And there is also a Spiritual war in the heavens.

Our Spiritual war is in our minds, for our flesh. The Holy Spirit speaks to us in our consciousness and so does Satan. But many can't identify the evil one and choose to ignore him it seems.

There are some people who can't identify the evil one in society either. All they see is God. Again they ignore Satan and assume that God is the only one at play. Wrong. Satan is the prince of this world, he is always working...

Many people imagine Satan as that red guy with the horns in the fire and expect him to appear something like that... That's not how he shows up. His innocuous, he can appear as an angel of light, he always appears innocent and pure.

In my mind im always on watch, looking for the evil one sneaking up... When he sees that ive spotted him he retreats out of sight to reload. I see him everywhere in society as well... And thats what i want. I want to be able to see God and see the evil one...

Can u identify the evil one?
If not then there is a very good chance you are being deceived by Satan.

The first place to look for Satan, is where the money is.

The second place to look at is the politicians.

The third place is to look at is those who claim to be Jews but are not.

Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Ok I see my error there... Past, present and future.
Temptation is future, possibly present.
Tempted is past
Tempting is present
Ok cheers. Note taken

It goes back to men Tempting God in the OT.
God flat out says to knock it off.
Jesus repeats God, to Satan.
It's a scenario that some men play...kind of in a reverse order...
As: "IF God WILL prove to "Them" He Exists...
"THEN", they will believe."
(And unbelieving men who play the game with a believer; Prove God Exists scenario)
A distraction ploy.

Glory to God,

As he is the father of lies, I suspect every liar is satan’s child/puppet. Even if they are ‘believers’ :(
@Pearl ...
A liar is Satans puppet child, right... Well...

May I add another place Satan loves to be...around children. If he can start on them early on, they will have a tougher time seeing the goodness of God.

The first place to look for Satan is where GOOD is...as Paul so wisely put it
“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.”
— Romans 7:21 (KJV)
A law....when doing good....evil is present.

And that is my humble opinion.

A question then: -

If you wanted to look on Satan at this present time where would be one of the best places to go to now to see him?

Remember in a little while he will not be there and you will have to enter in through a locked door if you want to see him then.

It is worth reflecting on this question as it does bring clarity to our understanding of him and what is happening at this present time.

'Submit yourselves therefore to God.
.. Resist the devil,
.... and he will flee from you.'

(Jamess 4:7)

Hi there,

Submit comes first, then Resist.

'Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful,
Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;
but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.'

(1 Corinthians 10:12)

* God will provide a way to escape, He will deliver.

'Let no man say when he is tempted," I am tempted of God":
for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.'

(James 1:13-14)

Thank you
With love in Christ Jesus
Chris

I find that often when I have been close to God I come under attack. Over the years I have come to recognise that fact and hold up my shield and deflect it.

The first place to look for Satan, is where the money is.

I will agree with Looking.
And Looking Should reveal A Truth.
Example:
Trump is badmouthed for his Wealth.
No doubt he is wealthy, likes a lavish lifestyle.
But LOOKING-
* He is required by law to accept his Presidental Salary...Then he Donates his Salary every quarter when he receives it.
* He has donated...to numerous charities.
* He has taken Risks...in 500 business adventures, that over a course of years has provided Jobs to men and women from all walks of life.
(* Wealthy yes- other people quick to acknowledge.
Other people quick to criticize ... why and to Whom he donates...YES...not their business!
Other people quick to criticize...3-5? Bankrupts? YES...Legal and exceptional odds compared to 500 ventures...and all the jobs for people.)

Abraham was Wealthy-

Wealth is the "root of" All Evil.
Which is to Say...if it IS Evil...Money was the Driving Force.
Which is Not to say Having Wealth "IS Evil".
And thus Agree;
Look.
Is the Wealth the Force...that perpetuates the Evil...or is the Wealth used for good.

The second place to look at is the politicians.
Definitely Agree- Look and Look some more.
Poli- one of many

tics- a blood sucking creature

Politicians- a fairly new concept in the US-
Statesman- use to be a Nobel undertaking.
Politician hopefuls- are introduced and taught in college courses...the "art of the color of law",
How to speak in circles with a grin, saying nothing. How to win elections, How to raise money for your next election. Join the ranks as a Junior Representative...and learn the slicker than snot ways to deceive, from the Senior Representatives Glued to an honorable Seat...for Decades! Ugh!

The third place is to look at is those who claim to be Jews but are not.

Well...that Applies Also to any Gentile, who flat out Rejects God.
Some people will admit they are unsure...not a good place to be...but still some hope for them.
Flat out Boldly Against God...yep, Satan's got them.

Glory to God,
Taken

For me it's more like I spend my attention on Jesus, and when spiritual darkness shows, it shows.

Much love!

And is this not where Jesus is?

"If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee." Psalm 139:11-12

And this would be where the unbeliever is?

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

On our way up [or down?], would we not be somewhere in between?

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Cor 13:12

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

And if we are headed toward Him, then at the end of our course, when our last battle has been fought and won by the power of God in us, should we be hearing him say something like this?

"His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matt 25:23

Over what things have we been faithful or are we being faithful?

Micah 7
7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

Much love!
