Umpteen things the Catholic Church teaches is Not in Scripture...and Why Umpteen Threads have been started giving Catholics an opportunity to quote Scripture that says what they say...
And ... it just doesn't exist in Scripture!

The Holy Spirit will guide into all truth those who have Him....God does not confer the Holy Spirit on someone just because they belong to a church of a certain title.
He gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him (Luke 11:9-13).

These promises were given in holy scripture to anyone who would take hold of them by faith.
(see 2 Peter 1:3-4, Hebrews 11:33, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 4:20-22).

When Jesus spoke to the CROWDS - he was instructing every individual.
When Jesus instructed His inner circle - He was instructing the leaders of His Church.

And the rejection of this Biblical truth is the source of MUCH of the confusion and splintering of Protestantism.

Its not about the age of accountability.
Its about having faith in the GOSPEL. "faith comes by hearing", and salvation is based on FAITH.
Babies can't have faith, and very young children cannot understand what "blood sacrifice" is all about or what "SIN" is all about, and why its the Grace of God that is Salvation.
So, a person has to have the ability to hear the Gospel and Believe it, to become born again.
Babies dont have it. 2 Yr olds can't hear it. And you as of yet, have no clue, yourself, deceiver.
So, what your cult does, is omits the Cross, omits the Blood of Jesus, and deceives children and you, and all Cult of Mary obsessed with the idea that "just get the water, and you'll be saved"

Sooooo what I understand you to be asking is why doesn't anyone today who does not recognize the actual body/blood of the Lord in the bread/wine not die and/or get sick? I guess if you take literally what Paul said that would be a good question. Perhaps Paul meant get sick/die in the faith? You make a good point!! :) Soooo why don't you take what Jesus said as being literal: "This IS my body/blood"???

The point I am trying to make is why would Paul believe that sickness, death, and damnation result from an unworthy reception of the Eucharist if it were merely a symbol? Wouldn't such consequences be unintelligible if the Eucharist is a mere symbol?

If the bread/wine is a mere symbol of His body/blood how do YOU fulfill John 6:53-58?

Jesus is the Word (John 1:1, John 1:14)...so we partake of His flesh by partaking of the word of God (like pure spiritual milk, 1 Peter 2:1-3). And we also partake of His blood by appropriating His blood to our lives; by receiving the forgiveness of sins that is given through His shed blood.

John 6:53-58 also speaks symbolically.

The Lord knows what that age is for each individual.

Though I perceive that it is a trick question.

Because a child will potentially be saved if they die before the age of accountability; but they will be lost if they fail to receive Christ after reaching that age.

Actually, I believe that they will be given an opportunity to receive Christ after they pass to the other side if they have not yet reached the age of accountability when they die.

Secondly - modern historians estimate that if 100-150 million Protestants were wiped out in Europe - Europe would CEASE to exist.
In other words, genius (again, sarcasm intended) - there were HARDLY 150 million people to spare - even if you counted all of the Catholics.

Because in fact, Jesus tells me in the scripture passage in question, not to listen to those who bear bad fruit (thorns and thistles) to the people with whom they are interacting.

Everyone is saved exactly the same way.
They hear the Gospel, and they Believe on Christ, as they are convicted by the Holy Spirit into this Truth.
But, there is a distinction between this understanding and this application.
This is the part that you can't understand. so, hang around as long as you like, as maybe this will help you.

I realized that my question kinda came out of nowhere.....there were some other posts in this thread that I could have tied my question to and it would have made better sense.....I was too lazy to look around for a more relevant post......apologies if I caused any aggravation.....I Believe most Protestants and ALL that adhere to catholic doctrine , live their entire lives “fallen from Grace” and are completely unaware of it.A serious charge.But if you read Galatians , I don’t see any getting around it....Almost every church adds to Paul’s Of Grace Plus Nothing....The Catholics are just a little more transparent about it.....your thoughts,please...

There are no "saved by water " in heaven.

Actually, 1 Peter 3:20-21 (kjv) would point out a different story.

It is not that a man cannot be saved apart from water baptism (calling on the name of the Lord will do, Romans 10:13); but that a man can be saved through water baptism, as a confession of Christ, is evident from Matthew 10:32).

For baptism is an identification with and confession of Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

Of course only believer's baptism will do (Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:12).
