To accuse Job of a sin of some sort makes you equal to one of his friends....
That he had to pray for in order for God not to strike them dead.
Just saying....
Actually, I'm not exactly sure what you're saying.

Job's friends kept saying that he was guilty of some sort of sin and that was why God was punishing him...Actually, I'm not exactly sure what you're saying.
Job's friends kept saying that he was guilty of some sort of sin and that was why God was punishing him...
But at the end God said otherwise.
Oh, well except for Jesus aren't we all guilty of sin to a certain degree?
I said the same thing in context...post 46To accuse Job of a sin of some sort makes you equal to one of his friends....

His friends accused him of what you are...he denied it too...Sounds as if you guys have an opinion of Job almost as high as he had of himself.
Difference is they were measuring him by his performance of the law, I measure by the knowledge of Christ, same a He did in the later part of the trial. His friends accused him of what you are...he denied it too...
As I said, my hope for you is that you’ll one day hear Jesus as He speaks to and through His servant Job.Now I'm confused and don't know what's going on. :/
I asked a genuine question, but no one answered it !I am re reading job as it’s been interesting reading the posts here.......something I had not considered before , in the attacks on Job there are two that involved weather. The fire from God I presume is lightning and the second involving a hurricane. We know from the beginning that The Lord gave satan permission to ‘ test ‘ him. So does that mean that Satan can control the natural elements ?
I have always considered that hurricanes/ lightning ect were natural reactions or were within Gods control ( as with the flood and the dynamics of what happened when Jesus was on the cross ) I have never considered that they may be within Satan’s power to control and create.

I don’t think it is a stupid question. It is a difficult question.

@Heart2Soul Job though it all was commendably patient and faithful.I said the same thing in context...post 46
Poor Job was grieving, covered with leprosy, needing encouragement, and totally isolated with no one to offer words of comfort....no what he got was a wife and some friends who told him to confess his sin, repent and die. SMH
@VictoryinJesus These words in Job are often taken as evidence of a sure hope of the resurrection.
