John 3:16 is a great verse that tells us the Purpose of Christ. However, Colossians 2:9-15 tells us the Holy Work of Christ . . . the removal of the Sin Nature . . . the Curse of Adam and Eve. We've got to get that Curse our of our hearts! :)

Deuteronomy 10:16 KJV - 16 "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked."
Jeremiah 4:4 KJV - 4 "Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings."

No one can ACTUALLY Circumcise their own heart, thus Christ would not be needed. Therefore, to Circumcise our hearts means to simply Turn to Christ for His exclusive and Holy Circumcision. Yes . . . Jesus performs His own, Specialized and Spiritual Circumcision. This is why Abraham is the Father of Faith to those who were not physically circumcised, but to also those who were like himself, Spiritually Circumcised of a hardened heart . . . which is the Curse of the Sinful Nature.

Our Bible is so unbelievable!
