It should be based on sound doctrine, which is what I have proposed.
That's right. And the gospel is found in the Holy Bible; every aspect of the Bible has God's words to us (Hebrews 1:1-2).
One of my favorite verses. Of course, there is more to the gospel then the crucifixion of Jesus. Which is why Paul had to expound on the resurrection 13 chapters later.
However, we will be resurrected in our physical bodies.
Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. I believe that you will see that our bodies will be resurrected. Because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). And therefore when the dead in Christ rise at the rapture of the church, their spiirt and soul has already been in the Lord's presence; and this inidicates to me that it is their bodies that will be resurrected. Also, there is the statement in 2 Corinthians 5 that mortality will be swallowed up of life and that we will not be "unclithed" but "clothed"...wherein clothing is in reference to physical bodies.
So, you believe that it is possible that you yourself are still spiritually dead?
If that is the case, how do you propose to remedy that?
Because I most certainly believe that God is calling all men everywhere to repent (Acts of the Apostles 17:30).
Your Calvinistic doctrine does not require repentance, however. It's solution is that a man simply sit and wait for God to save him; and if He doesn't then He is to blame for your being cast into the lake of fire on your day of judgment. Can you not see how ridiculous that is?
Rom 10:8, But what saith it <the righteousness of faith>? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11, For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12, For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14, How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15, And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16, But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
