The Law of the O.T. was made to condemn, not make righteous.

The Law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the O.T. Law(Law of sin and death).

You do realize that without the Old Testament, there would never be a New one?

It was a good covenant but the people broke it.
God gave them laws to show the their sins.
Then made them work to fix themselves.
Why?
Because they kept wanting to go back to Egypt where they enjoyed ... look.

Exo 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

Remember what God did to Sodom when the people were crying? He went down to check it out.
Only one person made it out with his wife and 2 girls.

So now we coming out of Egypt.. because they are crying.. it's too heavy..

Exo 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

They just crossed through the red sea, they saw all the miracles.. I mean c'mon..

No faith, ungreatful little monsters.

40 years of manna and water from a rock and still... still..

Moses goes up the mountain and comes back down and they made a calf idol and was dancing...

C'mon...

You think the law killed them?
No, it made them see their sin, because they didn't want to see God's face.

They was dead already.

Pharaoh made them work hard, no more straw, make more bricks. What did they get in return? Nothing.
God brings them out, feeds them, keeps their clothes fresh, gives them water.. and what do they give? Nothing.

Just saying..
Nobody likes to follow the rules,
whaddya gonna do?

Hugs

It's TRUE!!

I love your playful way. It is so important for us to take the Word of God seriously . . . BUT NOT [THAT] Seriuous. So again, I really appreciate your light heartedness.

Have you noticed scriptures like the one below, where it talks about Israel being in a deep sleep? In fact, the Curse of Adam and Eve is what placed all people into a "sleep" of confusion . . . for this is exactly what the Curse of Adam and Eve did . . . we couldn't do the things we knew that we should be doing.

Isaiah 29:10 NLT - "For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has closed the eyes of your prophets and visionaries."

This "sleep" wasn't only applied to the prophet and visionaries, but to all of Israel, and if this sleep applies to all of Israel, how much more for the Gentiles and those of the Seven Nations?

Romans 11:7-8 NLT - "So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have--the ones God has chosen--but the hearts of the rest were hardened. 8 As the Scriptures say, "God has put them into a deep sleep. To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see, and closed their ears so they do not hear."

Except those who Christ has lifted of the Sinful Nature (in the Old Testament), all people were "asleep" and there is / was nothing that could be done about it.

Have fun with that! :)

Abram had one of those also. He had a hard night.
Maybe it's a blessing, a kind of ignorance.
But what Abram dreamed was his seed going into captivity for 400 years. That would be the Exodus prelude.

Gen 15:12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
Gen 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Gen 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

If you kind of compare this with Adam. Adam has a rib removed.. I just found that it represents a "branch" .
And that branch was Eve which became the mother of all living.
In the case of Sarah she became the mother of many nations.

Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

This is before Abram laughed and Ishmael was born, and then Sarah laughed and Isaac was born.
And Ishmael laughed and got thrown out of the family... how rude.
Anywhoo..

This deep sleep occurs many times. I'm thinking about Lazarus.. He wae dead but Jesus calls it sleeping.. so, intereting study that will make.
I just started working on Virtues.. so maybe after that.. lol
I only got so many shovels :)

The study that we must all know is the Plan of how Christ pulls us out of this deep sleep. If we don't get that, all other studies are fodder.

That's the day star.. The Light..

2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

You have to come to the Light and let it shine :)

Jesus pulls us out of the Sinful Nature by removing it. Until the Sinful Way within a person has been removed, Scriptures will remain to be confusing. Having a comprehensive and working understanding of Circumcision of Heart will render nearly every important aspect of the Bible to be understood. The doctrine of Circumcised Hearts brings the Truth of the Bible to the forefront.

Colossians 2:9-15 NKJV - "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. 11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with [Him] through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh (the Sinful State of Mankind), He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

The above Scripture is the Core of the Entire Bible. Study it across as many translations as you can. It will blow your mind . . . especially the KJV translation. Incredible. This will be the last time I quote this passage! I'm tired! :)

I wish that were true.

The 14 to 15 translations that I have [don't] confirm the Doctrine of Circumcised Hearts? Of course, they do. The Catholic Bible is clear, and so is even the Jewish Tanakh. I'm not sure how you can say what you've said, but hey, what can I do about that? :)

What is callous heart?
feeling no emotion. b : feeling or showing no sympathy for others : hard-hearted a callous indifference to suffering.

Larger corns and calluses are most effectively reduced (made smaller) with a surgical blade. A podiatrist can use the blade to carefully shave away the thickened, dead skin—right in the office. The procedure is painless because the skin is already dead. Additional treatments may be needed if the corn or callus recurs.

Eze 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Mat 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
Mat 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Mat 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

@Ziggy

As you know, I talk non-stop about the Mysterious Plan and Christ's Circumcision. Did you ever think it weird that Jesus would tell us to pluck out our eyeballs, lop off a hand, etc, but never mention the Heart? As you have just masterfully pointed out, the problem was never our eyeball, or hand, but our problem is the Heart! Again, as I have mentioned in the past, this is one way that the Plan of God remains an elusive Mystery for most "Christians." The facts are . . . we are to never stop asking, seeking, and knocking. For, if we keep doing such, the Truth will finally be revealed . . . and our Powerful God is showing you this hidden plan. Look at the passage below!

Lamentations 3:41 KJV - 41 Let us lift up our heart with [our] hands unto God in the heavens."

Job 11:13 NLT - 13 "If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!"

And check this out my friend! If we want to know what the problem was / is with the world (and not just the Jews) it is this . . .

Jeremiah 9:25-26 RSV - "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will punish all those who are circumcised but yet uncircumcised--Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell in the desert that cut the corners of their hair; for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."

So do you see what I mean? This is the role of Jesus . . . to Circumcise Hearts. We must all know this, but no pastor or teacher of today is showing us the absolutely Core, or, Heart of the entire Bible. John 3:16 is cool, but Colossians 2:9-15 is the Heart of the entire Bible.

Consider the plucking of the eye and the cutting off of the hand.

1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1Co 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1Co 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

What is he speaking of?

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

These are the false not the true.
We look upon the false because it's shiny and sparkly. (eye)
We listen to the false because it is soothing and easy to hear. (ear)
We do what brings false prosperity and false riches. (hand)
We walk their walk which leads into the ditch. (foot)

Because they have no faith.

Hugs
