The concept is there. Is it not?

Rom 11:9, And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
Rom 11:10, Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

From the outside...we have already been rescued from hell...we storm its gates in order to rescue others.

If you ever actually figure out where Paul mentioned Hades, you'll find that you're there now.

Not a Parable. Study Jesus' parables; He never used real names. With the story of the rich man, however, he did, which makes it a real account. Hell is real, and the flames are real. So, in conclusion, I believe Jesus, not people who are offended at Him and His words.
Definitely not a parable!

"The rich man also died"
"being in torments"
"he cried"
"I am tormented in this flame"
"this place of torment"

Luke 16:22-28 (NKJV)
22 The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' 25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' 27 Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.'

The Early Church Fathers On Universal Restoration - Berean Patriot

“In the first five or six centuries of Christianity there were six theological schools, of which four (Alexandria, Antioch, Caesarea, and Edessa, or Nisibis) were Universalist, one (Ephesus) accepted conditional immortality; one (Carthage or Rome) taught endless punishment of the wicked. Other theological schools are mentioned as founded by Universalists, but their actual doctrine on this subject is not known.”

~ “The Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge” by Schaff-Herzog, 1908, volume 12, page 96

It is in the Holy Bible. Why, have you are problem with God's Way of Justice?

For those who reject the Bible's very clear teaching on eternal punishment for the wicked lost, what is the purpose of Jesus' Words about Judas, if there was not suffering in the afterlife?

"The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” (Matthew 26:24)

And Acts 1:25 tells us, "to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

Another word I had to look up... Universalism... the belief that all people will eventually be saved...

Wow... Who knew... Really ??? People don't think hell is forever??? in the same way that heaven is eternal??

Very interesting... yet another faction within Christianity... LOL

Nope, Universalism is not a Christian doctrine. It is heretical to say the least.

I still had to look it up... there a great many things that people "profess" to be Christian and they are NOT.

I think Roman Catholicism is a cult... an evil cult and heretical to the nth degree.
I think Calvinism is heretical
I think legalism is heretical
I think the Word of Faith/Prosperity Doctrines are equal to the evil found in the Catholic church. Yet these churches are filled with MOST professing Christians in the western world today.

So... I will simply add Universalism to the group I have compiled over the years... I don't give any of the above any notice.. attention or thought... Once I throw something in the garbage... I leave it there... LOL

In other words, your not believing in hell doesn't mean that you aren't going there.
Yeah, but I certainly believe in the eternal fire. Jesus said so.

Yes, the Scripture speaks for itself. This generation has tried to either take the fire out of hell or do away with it all together.
