So when you pick up your Bible and read it, as you read those verses, is the understanding you receive, a reflection of yourself?
Just for example, but not to limit the discussion...
A loving person having a tendency to find the love in the Bible?
A cruel person having a tendency to find the cruelty in the Bible?
A judgmental person having a tendency to find judgement in the Bible?
A negative person having a tendency to find the negative in the Bible?
A person that interprets in the abstract finding unusual meanings in the Bible?
So is all this a matter of character traits....
Or
Is the Bible much more than inked letters on paper? Is the Living Word of God an intellect? Is the Bible reading all these people, and knowing their preconceived notions are set in stone and they are not there to learn but to confirm there feelings and beliefs, are they merely seeing a reflection of themselves?
