@FluffyYellowDuck, @Tone, @Grailhunter, @Michael1985,.. this actually has to do with my new original story Rock God so I figured that I would tag all of you guys in it because it's a really good question and something to think about. For even though I will be talking more about it tonight, in the fifth chapter (that I wrote last night) DJ (AKA God) questions my other main character Mick that if he gives up music and being in the band that he started with his father before he passed away, how will he ever know how great he can be at it and if he is being as great as the person as he created him to be?

It just seems like sometimes in life we have obstacles that slow us down and we question ourselves and have doubts within ourselves that can cause us to doubt our faith in God. I know that for sure because I am one of those people at times. Does anybody else have anymore thoughts and opinions about this? So yeah a lot of this story is for humorous and entertainment purposes but hopefully I will cause people to think about how they view God and what's their relationship like with Him and themselves. I think these are some legit and maybe even powerful questions that we should be asking.

These are the posts we need. The introspective reflecting kind... I like this one a lot. Let me think on it for a little bit ... It's a good topic!

Thanks and I agree that they aren't easy questions are they? I couldn't tell you how many times I've asked myself,.. who exactly am I? What purpose was I created for? What should I be doing with my life and is it the same way that God wants me to live? How will I know? When it comes right down to it I don't really have any answers to those questions at all and I don't really know much about myself in that sense. Sometimes I even feel worthless and that's when another future DJ quote comes to mind. "Sometimes, I just wish that you would see yourself the way that I see you. As somebody that really rocks both inside and out." -DJ to Mick. :)

Hi. I'm learning that life, and God, are far more complex than I can imagine.
25 years ago, I was poised to become my fellowship's worship pastor, in a Vineyard fellowship in the midst of the 90's outpouring of Holy Spirit in southern Ontario. I had a new wife, a new child, what could go wrong?
The answer: Everything! And it did.
Last year, after twenty years of going through the fire of affliction, and walking out Luke 9:23, my inner circumcision was completed.
Jesus, along with me, resurrected in my heart. From an eternal perspective, it all now makes sense.
I don't believe my experience is a normal one.
I chalk it up to 1. God has shown me that I am a literal son of Levi (Malachi 3:3). 2. He has personally called me to the 5-fold ministry.
From the first time we talked, I sensed destiny with you. God will tell you the details.
Recently, I've had relationships restored with my son Joshua, and my step-son, Caleb.
Along with their baby-moms, and, though I don't deserve it, four beautiful grandchildren.
The one thing I've learned is this: He is faithful!
"I am on the road, to my home, in the New Jerusalem." - Truman Coates.

There is a book called "Let Me Be a Woman" and her daughter asked what the purpose of the jellyfish was. Her mom says, basically, and I'm paraphrasing here, "the jellyfish glorifies God because it is a jellyfish."

Basically we are God's creation.. His creation glorifies himself because it is his design.

But all in all, it says that the Lord directs our paths, so if you trust in him to be your guide and live accordingly to his will, you can roll with the tide and just get there. I believe we all have surprises just waiting!

But it is discouraging when things don't work out the way we want. That's okay. Sometimes it is sort of like the shakey bridge you just have to go over to get from point A to point B

The biggest surprises I found waiting were the perfect storms.
It's perfectly fine to be a jellyfish, if that's what He made you to be.
A spineless jellyfish, in the other hand, is something He deals with. :)

That's a really good response and answer to my questions but then I also hear the phrase you have great protentional,.. in other words great protentional to become something better quite often and I don't have a clue what that actually means because I don't really know what I need to find and how to find it. It's rather funny that I think we've all asked these questions at some point in our lives but we sort of ignore it because we don't really find it as important as we should.

At least that's how it is for me, but I don't know about anybody else. Like I can tell you what I like to do and what my name is,.. but I really just don't know who I am in other ways of where I'm going in my life and how I'm supposed to get there. Also tagging @JohnDB because I'm rather curious if he has words of wisdom for me about this.

I have a personal belief that people who endure the biggest trials in this life and still cling steadfast to God, still maintain faith in Him, will develop the compassion, Christlike love, and set an example for the people in this life of the love of the father and perhaps set a tremendous example of character and humility and inspire others in their faith- perhaps never even realizing it.

And even though storms don't look like blessings, we have to remember that there are people begging for rain! No rain, no harvest.

Whatever we suffer in this life, God gave us eternity through his son Jesus Christ and we will suffer no more.

We can get you set up on Kindle! It's easier than Wattpad and you will REALLY get noticed.

Aww,.. thanks do you really mean that? I'm not even sure if you read my work yet and I guess although I really believe in it I'm sort of afraid of failing. I think I'll stick with Wattpad though because I'm not sure how I can "sign up" for Kindle.

Though the storms may come and the winds may blow...

That tree avatar has got to go.

Reading this, yes, you are 1,000% a youth author. You're probably gonna hit around ages 11-15. You're really good at descriptions and setting visuals.

You might not know how but I can help you get your books on Kindle and eventually formatting and everything, because I'm a published author. Or I was before I deleted them...

If you want in the future let me know and I'll help you get your books on Kindle :)

Yeah i think with an editor (everyone has to have one or you'll be like me and go back every three days and fix your book to update for everyone) lol you'd be fine it would work.

And short series on kindle should only be about 25-50 pages anyway. You set the first one or two for free to get people hooked and do about 99 cents for the other ones if that's usual length and you'll get like 15% or something like that.

If you must know, there is someone who gives me googly eyes, no one on this forum, at least not that I'm aware of. Her own words, I say. If it freaks you out that bad, I'll get another. Let me know. He actually reminds me of Junior Asparagus, of Veggie Tales fame. I also had in mind that he is shocked at the situation we find ourselves in. - Hey, look at the beady eyes in your eek! face. Are you calling me a junkie? Lol! ...or are you? :)
God is bigger than the Googieman, He's bigger than Corona, or the mobsters on T.V. Lol

Your story always reminds me of a short story I wrote a while back called Underground Rockstar, which is a play on words, because it was actually about a dude named Gax who stumbles upon some advanced technology that harnesses the energy of magma...you know, magma is liquid rock... underground...! Anyways, after a bout with intatiable lust for what he could gain from it...he learns that the true treasure lay within the burning hearts of other people...love!
