It's not like God didn't know what was going to happen or what He was going to do. Certainly He did. So His "repenting from" is not like what we do.In other words when the Lord makes a conditional declaration and the condition is met, then he changes His mind.

We shouldn't make the mistake as some make thinking that God is like a man.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10WHERE?
Have a friend whose sister... ( married).. was having problems 4 or 5 years ago.Let's see what the others say.
Did God change at the Flood? Plan B? Sorry he made humankind? Oops.
The genocide solution. Same with the Promised Land.

Woah! Two different things are being discussed. Let's discern the difference.I will never say God cannot change.... I will say God will not change.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
and her sister told her she was wrong because that was the "old" God ....
Personally I prefer to do more than give a quick reading of an interpretive/paraphrase translation.Wherever you are most comfortable.
Personally I prefer to do more than give a quick reading of an interpretive/paraphrase translation.
So let's start here. Does God know everything? One more question. Is God all-wise?
Much love!
Just some thoughts here.Obviously, and we know once the Lord calls something an abomination such as sexual perversion that He wouldn't be changing His mind about that ever.

When Moses came down the from the mountain and saw that the people had fallen into idolatry-- God said He was ready right then, to destroy the nation. Moses pleaded, and talked Him out of it.
And the LORD changed his mind about the disaster that he planned to bring on his people (Exodus 32:14).

Yes, I'll need more examples. And a more serious translation, please. Rewording verses in paraphrases doesn't really mean so much to me.How about starting with answering the question you were asked, instead of side-stepping and asking others?
Satan has been busy, Dan!It always amazes me how some Christians know so little about what the Lord teaches in His Word to not be aware that He tells us of the things that cause someone to not go to Heaven.
These are warnings to Christians! We know that to be true because people out in the world that never got saved are already on their way to hell so there's not reason to warn them of anything other than they need to come to the Lord Jesus and get born again.
Many of the fake grace preachers teach that there are two Gods, the God of the old testament who is mean and judgemental - and then there's Jesus the God of the new testament who doesn't care how you live as long as you acknowledge He is real and went to the Cross you can be saved.
Another reason why people think they can live their lives as sinners and still be saved just like the catholics believe who think all they have to do is swing by the catholic church and confess to their priest, say some good stuff about Mary, throw a few bucks in the offering plate and the priest then "absolves" them of all sin and they are all good with God.
Yes.Woah! Two different things are being discussed. Let's discern the difference.
1. God may change his mind, particularly in response to prayer.
2. God is eternal, meaning his nature does not change.
And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people. (Exodus 32:14 RSV)
Powerful quote from Exodus. Many attempt white wash God. The way I keep things straight is to orient myself in the reality of a Spiritual War.Yes.
Moses pleaded to God not to destroy the people. The Scripture then says the following occurred.
Could God have been allowing Moses to decide their fate? If Moses had not pleaded then it would be done away with because God thought Moses agreed it should be done?I agree!
Maybe consider the implications -if He hadn't.
