As I finished this book, I marveled that Takashi Nagai and his story are mostly unknown here in America. I believe it is just as important that we not forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki as it is that we not forget Auschwitz and Dachau. Jesus would never endorse the torture and suffering and killing and destruction the atomic bomb caused. Why do we so readily agree that the Holocaust was a sin, but defend the atomic bombings? …

No rational human contests the horrors of the Holocaust. It is universally decried, except by a few marginalized ‘Holocaust deniers.’ Why is it so controversial to question or criticize dropping atomic bombs on a city filled with children and families and teachers and doctors just living their lives?

Learning the truth about what happened is uncomfortable. The book was certainly not entertainment, not a feel-good read, but in the end very uplifting and inspiring. We need to read this book and others like it so that we can say, and continue to remind ourselves - ‘Never Again.’

I would like to leave you with a question. On August 9, 1945 where do we find Jesus? In a B-29 flying over Nagasaki? Or with the worshipers, soon to be sufferers, praying in the Urakami Cathedral?

Yeah, it sucks sometimes. But therapy isn't covered by insurance in the US. Not mine anyway, and it's expensive without it. I get by most days without any fuss. It's just been a rough few months due to changing family dynamics. Estrangement and that sort of thing.

Check into it, even if therapy is not covered psychiatric care likely is. A psychiatrist can recommend medication that may be helpful.
I went to therapy for two months after that I just saw a psychiatrist.

@Riven Most pastors do counseling, and it's free. You just need to find one that will be sound and willing to take time to listen to you.

As @RLT63 mentioned, a psychiatrist should be covered by your insurance. They say some people have a chemical imbalance in their brains. But if it's something that can be cleared up by talking with a Christian counselor, I would advise trying that first...rather than medication.

Riven I wouldn't suggest to anyone that your Christian status be removed. I know that you confessed believing in Jesus as your Savior about Good Friday. I remember you came and fellowshipped with us at Counter Media UK for the Good Friday livestream.

I think @Matthias tagged me because I have suggested a couple of times that perhaps he is grilling you too much. I think we all grow spiritually at different speeds.

Please do keep listening to the Bible verses or the books of the Bible being read. Trust the Lord day by day. Talk to the Lord about whatever is feeling badly in your life, that will really help. When I became a born again Christian I was 22. I would remember different Bible verses whenever I had a problem or whatever. That helped me immensely in my life.
