Lets continue the great debate

I would like all the people who think Jesus is God to explain and or interpret the following verses, this should not be to difficult ,in light of the fact that half the people on this forum claim to have the Holy Spirit.

Revelations 4:2,3 "And immediately Iwas in spirit:and behold,a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone:and their was a rainbow round about the throne,in sight like unto an emerald."

now lets fast forward to Revelations 5:7"And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne."

Now who can explain exactly whats going on?

Pelaides,

I'm going to offer a few observations. Your posts demonstrate quite clearly that you lack even a basic understanding of the historic doctrine of the Trinity. I'm not trying to be insulting here, I'm just stating an observable fact. Your questions and charges betray you. I have no problem answering those who have genuine questions. But you've taken it upon yourself to do battle against what you clearly don't know or understand. Your latest "Biblical conundrum" is case in point. How in the world do those texts quoted above help your argument???

Yeah mate I would really like to stick to the topic at hand, If you want to refute what I have said then tell me why you refute it, jumping from one scripture to another does nothing. But if you refute what I said then using scripture tell me why.

or

if your going to continually jump around how about you tell us what you think those scripture mean first.
Otherwise we go through all the motions of explaining it to you just for you to blurt out a stabbing statement and bounce off to another scripture.

This is why its so frustrating to talk to you, we are really trying to be patient.

Thank you for your response again!

Had a mortician van pull in behind me when I stopped to do a little shopping yesterday, ie, wonder if that was a sign? Came out and he was following another vehicle - think I bought some more time?

Old Jack buying time
BTW Pelaides, only a head's up, Rev. chapter 4 is the mighty vision of the Godman Christ Himself where He even dictates the "7" letters, ie, the Supreme Figure of this entire revelation granted to John.

Old Jack that always has agaped this vision!

I have read through some of this thread. And there are some of you who believe,
Jesus is God , and some of you who believe Jesus is the Son of God.

Does anyone know what Jesus, has to say about this?
Jesus said: I and the Father are one.
Jesus said: If you've seen me you've seen the Father.
Jesus said: If you knew me, you would know my Father also.
Jesus said: You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.
Jesus said: If you do not believe that I am He, you will indeed die in your sins.
Jesus said: You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Jesus said: Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Easy mistake to make, heres the answer.

John 14:10
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Philippians 2:6-8
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

One....what? Please explain what you believe Jesus meant by this?

Is Jesus saying that God looks like Him?

Is this because God was always with Jesus?

Who did Jesus worship?

Who is He? Jesus?

Then who is the Lord of Lords?

I think this is what Jesus meant by being one with the father.

So by Jesus's own words it is God doing the work in Him, and not of Him own self.

So therefore how can you believe Jesus is God?

When Jesus clearly states it is not Him doing the works but God.
One in being. The hypostatic union of God and man. God incarnate.

Yes, as in the physical manifestations that happened in the OT. No man can see God and live.

Jesus was God incarnate, so no God was not always with Jesus as Jesus had a beginning in Mary's womb.

Jesus worshiped nothing.

Jesus is the physical Son and incarnation of God.

The LORD of Lords, KING of kings is God.

Jesus was speaking as the son here which He did many times. Not understanding the hypostatic nature of God and how it worked is many peoples downfall. We just need to accept that by faith and not question it. Equivocating about what it COULD mean is not how one reads the bible. All the verses point to just ONE conclusion....Jesus is God. God never lived in a man until Jesus.

Madad21 has done nothing but answer a question you had asked. This is a discussion forum and if you choose to ignore people, fine! But Please - "Do Not Be Rude or disrespectful to our members!"

I am not rude or disrespectful, so why did you say this to me?
Because your being rude and disrespectful...

I can disagree with you, when it comes to you flaming my character
when you only offer up your own opinion...right?
You flamed your own character, don't blame it on me mister!

You just do not like me and you are taking his side because I am right and he is wrong.
Oh...okay you're right so I'm taking his side...uhuh!

That is my opinion of your opinion of me.
In fact I am sure you are now going to be looking for some one to ban me now.
I'm sure you'll agree that I wouldn't have to look far..

Just remember, God is watching all this.
Well I hope God is watching because you certainly need someone to be watching you...now please consider my comments above: least you incur a warning point.

Thank you!

Then my friend you need to listen to him.

Calm down and stop loosing your temper, stop judging everybody because you dont know any of us.

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

If you truly know Christ you need to act like Christ.

Matthew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

Would you like me to pray with you, I would be honored to do that.

I will also ignore you, like I am ignoring him if you do the same thing he did and does on here.

Matthew, Chapter 26, 39: And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Matthew, Chapter 26, 42: He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Do you confess that what you said to me.."Jesus worshiped nothing."

is a lie and not the truth?
You sure can, it's called the ignore button, but you can't lambaste them publicly. That is NOT kosher and against the rules of any forum.

Acting like a child won't help your cause much, as I post regardless of who wants to hear me.

Now as far as the issue is concerned, praying is not the same as worshiping. You asked a specific question and I answered it specifically. Feel free to find a NT verse that shows Jesus worshiped God.

I do confess I don't think you know your Bible at all. Jesus said to only worship God, but did He also tell those same people to NOT worship Him? No, He didn't. Why? Because He is God.

I am not going to let you bully me with your words just because you can ban me.

I will take it to the spirit realm. There you have no ban or delete button.

Besides I can post here anytime I so desire.

And there is nothing you can do about it.

So I will stand up to you on here when you lie abut my character on here.

And of a truth...you really do not want to go down that road with me.

You will lose.

Far far far more than it is worth to you to even try.

So now I have made my position to you perfectly clear.

Please do not slander me again on here.
"Fools rush in where the brave fear to tread".

I suggest you take this proverb to heart WOK. Exactly how old are you BTW?

Yes, I think it has more to do with Obedience than worship, Jesus' authority was given him by God the Father when Jesus became obedient to God the Father as in Philippians 2:6

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.
