Do you think you no longer sin?

Do you think you know every sin you commit?

Cling to your salvation very hard! With all your strength! I hope you make it!

I'm trusting Jesus and His promise.

Much love!
I trust Jesus and His word. It is satan who says we can sin and not die. And by "die in your sin" I mean a total rejection and renouncement of the faith you once believed would save you. We have been warned about this. If you believe you can die in sin and still make it to glory you are not trusting Jesus. You are trusting satan and his original lie.

Views don't say anything, people do.

Meanwhile, God says:

Colossians 3:1-4 (KJV)
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Anyone who is raised with Christ now (Romans 6) will appear with Him in glory, or don't you believe that?

Here is another:

1 John 3:1-3 (KJV)
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

If you are His child now, you will be like Him then. Or don't you believe that?

Philippians 3:20-21 (LITV)
20 For our citizenship is in Heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of Him to be able even to subject all things under Himself.

If you are a citizen of heaven now, He will transform you then. Or don't you believe that?

Much love!
I am not talking about people who are walking with Jesus. I am talking about those that fall away. You seem to think that one can do that and still make.

What Christian does that!

Show me one.

You are trusting satan and his original lie.
Hardly!! What a thing to say!

I'm trusting what God says, and you say what I am trusting is the Devil.

Make of that what you will.

However, if you say "He turned away and died in his sin but he will still make it into glory." Then you have believed satan's original lie... go ahead and sin...you shall not surely die!
How would you define regeneration?

And it's nice to know you have stopped sinning, I think we all want that!

Unless you don't believe that if you sin it will kill you. Remember, Adam committed 1 ONE 1 only 1 sin and it cost everything.

Is your sin in telling the world that I'm believing the Devil, did that kill you? Are you back as a flesh man? No longer regenerate?

Seriously!

Adam sinned once and died. What about you?

What Christian does that!

Show me one.
Joshua Harris – The former megachurch pastor and bestselling author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye publicly announced in 2019 that he was no longer a Christian, apologizing for his past teachings and joining the LGBTQ+ community in solidarity

Charles Templeton – A prominent evangelist and co-founder of Youth for Christ International alongside Billy Graham, Templeton later attended seminary, experienced deep theological doubts, and renounced his faith, writing Farewell to God

Paul Maxwell – A former writer for Desiring God with a PhD in theology, Maxwell publicly shared on social media that he no longer identified as a Christian

Hardly!! What a thing to say!

I'm trusting what God says, and you say what I am trusting is the Devil.

Make of that what you will.
I only say that IF you think one can totally forsake Christ and still be saved. If you say they were never saved to begin with...then that's a different story.

Have you actually read his writings? He said he never did believe. Did you know that?

I'll need to research the other two you mentioned. You should research this fellow. There is no confusion. He was a great orator, but when he went to seminary, he realized he didn't believe the Bible. He wasn't a Christian who renounced. He was a public speaker who was asked to fill in for a missing pastor, and discovered he was good at it, and enjoyed it. But when push came to shove, he realized this wasn't him.

Writing articles, speaking to a crowd, these are not what make you Christian.

How would you define regeneration?
How do you define "twice dead and plucked by the roots"?
And it's nice to know you have stopped sinning, I think we all want that!
It is statements like this that let me know what kind of person you are and why you misread the bible. If you can't understand the words of a simple man like me how can you hope to understand the Almighty God and the mysteries of His word?

I am not going to argue with you anymore. Discussions with you always decay into some kind of immature tantrum.

Everyone who falls away like this will claim they never believed. What's the surprise in that?

I'm just going to stick with what the Bible says. The regenerate never stop being regenerate, while pretenders fall away. Bottom line.

OSAS right down the line, and these kinds of arguments mean nothing when placed alongside Scripture.

These warnings? Don't be one of those telling yourself you are born again when you are not. Be warned!!

Well, if you care about what the fellow says about himself, he never was a Christian. If you prefer your own opinion that he was, so that will make your case, feel free, but don't expect that I'll believe it. I've read a good bit that he himself wrote on this very topic, and you've got it wrong.

Tantrums aside.

At the very least, I'd like to ask you to consider these questions that you haven't been able or willing to answer, as these Scriptures mean what they say.

Much love!
The scriptures do mean what they say...just not what you say they mean. Do you honestly think you have any new questions for someone who has dealt with this subject on both sides for over 50 years? One of the most important lessons I have learned is to not waste time on people who think they know everything but in reality, know very little. You can always tell when they get triggered because they break a single post into several demanding, like a spoiled child, that every question be answered. I'm done playing that game.

Are you saying only as long as we are physically alive? How do you define 'eternal'?
No what I mean is here and now we don’t possess eternal salvation but the initial grace of justification, grace not salvation.

We have grace with the promise of eternal salvation!

The initial grace of justification provides union with God and His saints by grace with the promise of eternal salvation!

Jn 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Jn 10:10 life and life more abundantly
Grace, not salvation and salvation more abundantly

Way, truth, & the life. Jn 14:6
Life of grace!

Perseverance

Jn 3:16 continues in believing

Jn 15:4 abide in christ

Jn 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing phil 4:13 all things in Christ

Mt 7:7 ask and receive

Mt 7:14 narrow road leads to life

Mt 27:41 watch and pray

Mk 13:13 mt 10:22 mt 24:13 endures to the end shall be saved

Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Eternal salvation)

Thks

You can always tell when they get triggered because they break a single post into several demanding, like a spoiled child,
Rather than making such comments, you might want to consider that I've posted this way for many years. I don't like to put a lot of different things in posts for the most part.

Not to mention that I often answer one part, then realize something else I wanted to reply.

Make of it what you will. I guess that's what you will.

But you should not make the mistake thinking that you know me. Or assuming how much or how little I may or may not know. Someone inclined to make assumptions about things they don't know about? A recipe for error I should say.

Spoiled child? Right-o. I thought you said I was the one having tantrums.

Once we get to this level, yes, we should be done. You don't have to descend into personal insults to just be done with a topic.

I'll try to keep in mind to not reply to your posts. It's not healthy, I think.

Much love!

Regeneration:

When God kills your flesh by joining you to Christ on the cross, then buries you in the ground, baptized into Christ, and then resurrects you to new spirit life. Your original flesh-man is dead, your new spirit man is alive forever, sharing with Jesus' life, risen with Him.

Much love!

Do you believe the Bible?

1 John 3:1-3 (KJV)
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

What does this passage tell us?

Do you believe these words are true?

You don't have to answer me. I caution that you be certain within yourself. Does your interpretation Actually match these words, or are you making a subtle shift, adding qualifications that do not appear?

If you are His child now, will you be like Him when you see Him? What does this passage say to answer that question?

It says, "Yes".

We are His sons now, and when we see Him, we know we will be like Him. Pure and simple.

Much love!

I was asking about the gospel, parable of the sower, did he bear fruit by faith alone?

Thks
I do not think you understand these things regarding us bearing fruit to God versus our works we do.

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [d]adultery, [e]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [f]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Our works do not benefit God as God can not be benefitted by man.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Romans 11

32 For God has [h]committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Which of course you cannot prove since no man knows the things of a man's heart except for that man and God - 1 Corinthians 2:11

But, thank you so much for taking the time to share your speculation with everyone. We appreciate the effort.

God is very clear in His Word that some do get born again and later fall away from the faith.
You're good Randy Dawson!
We need some new blood around here.

Some suppose that warnings were added to the NT writings just for the fun of it,,,I assume.

Seems to me that warnings are not necessary where no danger presents itself.
But apparently, the writers of the NT wrote in all those warnings just so they could be ignored.

And 1 John 2:19
Oh my.

Those truly were never saved.
So why those on the other side of the isle use this verse is a mystery to me.

Guess they don't have much else to go on.
Keep up the good work!
