A pastor and I have 2 different views here.I believe Judgement is for all- the dead know nothing till this day. Neither do they enter Heaven or Hell yet.He believes only the unsaved undergo Judgement. Judgement day for Christians is for rewards.Scripture please

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.Matthew 25:31-33 "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. "All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Those who have been born of God have had their names written in the book of life, and therefore will not face the white throne judgment, but will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be recompensed for our deeds in the body, which means we will be compensated for our service or suffer loss for lack there of. Those who were not born of God do not have their names in the book of life, and will stand before the white throne and judged for their violations of God's Laws and be thrown into the lake of fire. The difference is whether the person had their hearts renewed by God's Spirit while they were on earth and are therefore His child. Those who have are told that we have eternal life and can know that we have an inheritance in His Kingdom, while those who have not are called children of the devil and will spend eternity with him in the Lake of fire. John 5:24-29 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. "For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment. If one is born of God by the regeneration of His Spirit then they no longer practice lawlessness and therefore is not subject to the judgment facing the unbelievers. Scripture states that we will practice righteousness because His Spirit abides in us, and has written His Laws on our hearts and minds. Jesus said that you will know by your fruits if you have experienced this or not. Those who have can know that we have an inheritance in God's Kingdom and do not have to fear the Judgment because our names are written in the book of life. We will stand before the Judgment seat of Christ and be compensated for our service to Him by receiving rewards, or to suffer loss for lack there of.SealedEternal

Our sins are paid for on the cross. Believers will NOT be judged for their sins. The Great White Throne Judgment is for the lost ONLY. The Judgment Seat of Christ is the place where our works as a Christian will be judged to see whether or not they are worthy of rewards.

First of all, when a person dies they go to the place that they have chosen, and are very much aware of of where they are. read about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:, and what Paul said in, 2 Corinthians 5:,Second, sinners will be judged, but Jesus has already taken the Christians judgment, so there is no judgement to come for them. But Christians will have to give an account of what they have done, as a christian.

Wow, wait a second! You say when people die they go where they have chosen...explain that one. Also you claim they are very much aware of where they are....ok then how do you explain----1. Jesus says the dead know nothing- right?2. Jesus tells the parent of the young child- She is only sleeping3. When Lazurus was brought back why didnt he say- oh man who just brought me back! OR.... Thank God I was taken from that placeThrough looking at scripture I now realize the difference between Judgement Seat of Christ and White Throne Judgement....but I have no clue where you're coming from with that post. Please explain- and look at my questions.

I appreciate your comment, but I have a problem with your definition of the Judgement Seat of Christ. You say this type of judgement is where our works as a Christian are judged....Romans 14:10 ----But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall ALL stand before the judgement seat of Christ. This doesn't say Christian-only judgement. It says ALLPlease explain.
