What is the true nature of God? Is God really such a loving god that he wouldn't allow sinners to burn in eternal fire? Some according to their own understanding believe God to be a white picket fence god that hates suffering even of his enemies, that he's an all loving god that does not hate or cause evil. I recently read these verses and thought that I should share:
Hosea 13:1-8 When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died. And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, [and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves. Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff [that] is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney. Yet I [am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for [there is] no saviour beside me. I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe [them]: I will meet them as a bear [that is] bereaved [of her whelps], and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Leviticus 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me: I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. Leviticus 26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
I guess some people lean to their own understanding insteading of reading the truth and getting to know the true nature of God. Peace Out!

People emphasise the love of God but forget he is also a holy God. He showed his love in giving his son for our sins but for those who reject what Jesus did there must be punishment otherwise God would be unjust.

A verse I think shows the nature and emotion of God is Hosea 6:6 ... For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.God bless

Just a thought. One thing about the nature of God's anger, is that it can be measured, but the nature of His love is be on Measure.

ecept's 2:3 Your word must be the word of God because I've never read nor am I familiar with that verse. Wow! Think about that.
