Where did you ever get the idea I support that "Laughter" movement? I said it did not create demonic God-haters in the people I know very closely, and I said the experience is still viewed today (25 years later) as a positive one by them. It did absolutely nothing for me that night decades ago.

What I do NOT support is condemning things as Satanic just because I don't understand anything about them.

The verse that comes to me is -" Woe unto him who calls good evil and evil good."

Here we all are mature Christians spouting about what is God and what is not...as if we somehow KNOW God's every thought and action!

@VictoryinJesus

As I mentioned before...when I asked God " Why this, and why that" ..He told me - " Because I can."

If He wishes to touch someone just to show them that He is there, and He wants to jump right into their life. He can.
Woe unto those who keep stating that it is all demonic and that "God does not do that. these days"

Well , I like Marksman , have heard the audible voice of God. I have seen angels, I have seen the demonic , I have had dreams, I have had visions.

WHY? I have no ides at all.
My husband never has. He does not see himself as not being special to God , or suck his thumb because no special thing has ever happened to him in his christian life.

I have no answers to why it happens. But we serve a supernatural God , I didn't look or expect such thing, they just happened ...yet I was not one wit surprised when they happened.
Seeing four angels walk into the room is not a 'normal' everyday happening...but I can honestly tell you that I did not even blink.
God is Spirit, and He does spiritual things outside the ordinary.

Unless like some here, who have have decided that things 'like that' are not God..He will just say to them..'Okay'.

Little people with stunted vision seem so sure that they "know what is what" in the spiritual realm , and talk with so such confidence against the spiritual things.

I would not like to be in their shoes when they are finally face to face.

Maybe the question should be, how does the spirit of the antichrist is supposed to work? By taking your eyes off of the Son in worship to chasing after them for a sign whereas the indwelling Holy Spirit would always keep the spotlight on the Son in worship.
My friend, the anti-Christ is working in you in spite of the fact that you may have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. You started this thread to divide instead of to unite believers. You insist that you know God's mind on things when you do not. Sometimes you may, but your actions indicate you believe that you always know His mind better than anyone who might dare to oppose you and then you speak as if what they are espousing is an anti-Christ spirit.

When you decide for another believer that he is in error and tell him so without a revelation from God, what spirit do you think that is? Doesn't Jesus makes it clear where such judgments belong?

Yet you aren't allowing God to choose to let one group experience something unless EVERYONE experiences it?
God does speak to people at times in a "still small voice" as He did to Elijah, but God has never limited Himself to only that kind of communication! Messages sent by God in unknown tongues still occur today with accompanying interpretations. Not many perhaps because according to one's faith God works in people. If a person denies the possibility, he does limit God. God gave us that power. It is what men call free will: the right to believe God or Not! To choose God or mammon!

More Scripture out of context, and the hilarious thing? You also are judging and condemning even yourself by your own misuseage. I'm sure you didn't intend to judge yourself, but another.

The Matthew 7:1 text wasn't written to defend false signs and false gospels from discerning true believers. It is really amazing how often you attack truth, attack those who expose error and endorse falsities.
Believe it or not, God does speak though people today! There is a judgment spoken by a man's own mental, emotional, carnal abilities alone and there is a judgment put into a person's mouth by the Holy Spirit of God. Anyone who has the Holy Spirit and does not quench the Spirit within himself may be able to tell which is which. Quoting scripture does not make a person right. A devil can do that!

works both ways...One side claims it is not of His Spirit, the other claims it is His Spirit. what I don’t understand is how God is such a respecter of persons. Some get dust. Some get laughter. When the Spirit moves across a congregation of hundreds falling down under being touched ...how those in wheel chairs at the back of the auditoriums that are coming in for healing ...God skips right over them. Often it is suggested others are just jealous to never have fully experienced it...again, how and why does God skip through congregations favoring some over others for special perks? I’m sorry...I just don’t get it. Usually it is on those gathered in the front ...the same ones every time drinking up a special “double” anointing from the head which is and was anointed that being Christ. I could be wrong but Jesus Christ always went straight to the ones in the crowds that were in the worst need and worse way and condition, left by this world without any hope. Yet, God skips right over those brought in wheel chairs and sprinkles dust and laughter?
Part of what God is doing here on planet Earth is checking how people are reacting to other people when those others seem to have gotten more or better or different than them. Reacting the right way when a surge in our own flesh presses us to be jealous or angry or oppressive is what Apostle Paul means by charity/love in I Corinthians chapter 13. We are in the middle of the testing ground, even here on this forum! Will we finish on the Lord's side, or will we succumb to those other spirits ever seeking to regain dominion in us?

God at times does use what appears to us, the carnal us, to be foolishness to accomplish his purpose! Is it of God, or it not of God? Do we always have to have a perfectly clear and logical answer? Do we never do anything by faith?

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." I Cor 1:18-21

Problem here is, if you had watched that video of khundalini in the OP having all those things BEFORE Pentecost, wouldn't that be calling those things in khundalini which was evil, "good" just because it is in Christianity?
I've watched such videos before. I know what they show and say. Do you really believe that there is anything new under the sun? Solomon wrote about that 3,000 years ago:

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us." Ecc 1:9-10

You delve into too much garbage. The world is full of garbage. I really try to avoid it and seek the "very good" that is as God made it in the beginning.

Would not listening to God first require us to prove all things and abstain from all appearances of evil, instead of testing the spirits by whether or mot it feels good or wonderful? If we go by the latter, how can anyone discern "seducing" spirits then?
Sometimes you say reasonably good things and even cite the scriptures correctly. Others times you speak very foolishly. Should we prove something first before listening to God? When you are one of His sheep you know His voice and not those of strangers. All of this other garbage you are concerned about is the "voice of strangers":

"And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." John 10:4-5

Why you need to learn or know their voices when you know and follow His voice? What does it mean to know?
Consider what Jesus meant here?

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matt 7:22-23

What does Khundalini have to do with what God is doing? Why do you use the words and works and experiences of carnal men to stand in judgment? God spoke His Word! When did He do that?

Do you really claim to have the mind of God in everything? Does He need you to stand in judgment against others on His behalf? Did you have a personal revelation from God to that effect?

Some things that are very good are called evil and vice versa. Is not that also true?

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

What is good and very good?

"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day." Gen 1:31

"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Mark 10:18

"Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and then each man's praise will come to him from God."
1 Cor. 4:5

"For God will bring every deed into judgment, along with every hidden thing, whether good or evil."
Ecc. 12:14

So good to know that God KNOWS our hearts :)

And who gets to decide what is disorderly? Where is the line drawn between recognizing disorder and judging, which Jesus spoke against here?

"Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Matt 7:1-2
Christians with wisdom get to decide, amadeus, do you know of any?
For example, I will decide if you can't, and I have authoritatively decided that the Giggles for God movement is diabolical.
Would you care to question my judgement, or attempt to undermine my discernment, or do you maintain your 'hey, who am I to judge' pseudo-Christian attitude?
Paul fought apostasy day and night, was tortured, famished and mocked continuously. He fought heresies that were incessantly creeping into the Churches that he established, the minute that he left. And he was constantly dodging the murderous threats from his fellow Jews.
Do you think that he sat in his prison cell either, giggling to himself, or rolling on the floor in hysteria, in order to gain strength, wisdom, peace, edification or at oneness with God?

If we His sheep know His voice and follow Him, we will not miss Jesus and follow something false. People do because they either have never received the Holy Ghost or they have subsequently learned to quench the Spirit instead of to listen well and follow carefully!

I pray in English, German and Spanish regularly along with praying daily in a prayer language which God gave to me more than 40 years ago. God hears me and I hear Him!

Sometimes people really do not know what to pray and pray amiss in their ignorance or even in their pain. Does anyone ever pray like David did for the life of his own child and the child died. That child died in spite of David's heart felt prayers because it was time. Everyone, for whatever reason has a time.
Amadeus, you win the prize, by scoring 100% on the 'who can take the most Bible passages out-of-context' contest!

God never spoke to you Helen, nor did you see angels, it all sounds like complete nonsense. Straight out of the Benny Hinn book of false visions and prophecies.
You need to start taking God more seriously, and stop mocking him with these meaningless and unedifying epiphanies and noises, that you claim that you're seeing and hearing.
You give license to other religions to mock Christians, with this useless nonsense.

Hi DNB,
I obviously do agree on some of what you say. Yet, I must distinguish between this online Christian board and the physical local body. Things like Judging and possibly putting someone out of the congregation for Satan to have his way with is one thing but...on here, it is just not possible to do. Yes, If I were to walk into something like this Khundilini thing, I have no doubt I would walk away. I don't have to attend that church. I pray for all of the Church, as a whole, and there are tons of doctrines and such that I do not at all believe in the way some interpret them. But, we are still His Church and it will all come out in the wash. Nothing wrong with pointing out our observations and what we see from studying scripture, after all, there are many warnings in there to do with pretty much all aspects of our walks . But...we can't walk someone else's walk, only our own so I just say, pray...for all of us and for all of us to be humble enough to know when to stop repeating our views over and over to the same people, and it going nowhere or, pray that none be led away by erroneous doctrine, including our own selves..."if even the very elect..." I believe that God knows the difference :)

That's fine Nancy, I was just about done now all the same, as I felt a certain repetitiveness also, thanks!
But, I am extremely glad that I said what I said, and I meant every word.
Thanks for your candor and concern, ...and if I may, for your sobriety and soundness on the main part of the issue!

Would God have anybody have a medium to contact the Holy Spirit? Would God have seekers have the medium prove this contact by a sign even if for laughter? If God would not have you use a medium that uses the rudiment of the would to contact the Holy Spirit for laughter, then why would God have any believer use that methodology for themselves?
You are still doing it: deciding for God what and how He will or will not do things according your humanly reasoned understanding of scripture mixed with the things of man. Consider again this which I am certain you have heard before:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

They could not get there in the OT. So one reason Jesus was sent to make the impossible possible for each of us. But.. He did not send Jesus and the Holy Ghost so we could use our brains to figure it out. That failed in the OT but now it is possible for whosoever will [not many are really willing] , but only by the power of God working in individual being prepared to perfectly into the Body of Christ. Don't presume to say what God can or cannot do; or what God will or will not do!

Why did David dance before the Lord with all of his might when his own wife was embarrassed and ashamed of his seemingly very worldly display? But David in spite of his failures was called the apple of His eye and a man after God's own heart. He did not do that by following the impossible to keep laws [in which he failed miserably], but by always admitting his own frailty and always being ready to pay the price of death which law would have required. For murder or adultery the law prescribed death, but God forgave David because of David's heart which God was watching all of the time. He wasn't watching His adultery and murder, saying, Oh now I am going to get him. No, He was watching the heart of man, like we are men, who was willing to die because he loved God and he knew he had been disobedient. Are we willing to do as much? We cannot judge others, because we cannot see their hearts. How clearly can we see even our own hearts?

Perhaps many people in these "movements" you condemn so self-righteously actually received something good, that is something from the only One who is good because of their hearts. Did you not see one of them? No, so then condemn the whole thing because it looks awful bad to you!

You said that God is not the author of confusion and so it is, but everyone of us who is still double minded has confusion mixed with the good things of God. [Only those who have already overcome the world as Jesus did, are not double-minded serving God on the one hand and sinning on the other when we quench the Spirit in us.] That is what in the end of the matter could cause us to be spit out of His mouth. I include myself too, because I know that I have not yet overcome all that stands between me and God, but the end is not yet. I am hopeful, not because I have been given definite confirmation of my salvation, but because I strive to always love God even in the worst of times and I know that He is fair and loving and merciful. That is not a guarantee, but a hope!

1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Watch this video in comparing what is happening in the churches and then compare it to the occult; namely Kundalini.

Note how bad the latter days is when these big names in ministry are supporting it.

Unholy Laughter

Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring. 27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory. 28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Keep your eyes and focus only on the Son to honor Him in worship and you can't go wrong.

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.... 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

So it doesn't matter how miraculous they claim it to be, if the spotlight is not on the Son, but on the Holy Spirit, don't go there. There can be no sharing in the spotlight of the Son with the Holy Spirit in worship. Trust Jesus Christ in you as your Good Shepherd to keep you from falling and from serving that movement in seeking the glory of it and by it.

Decide this day Whom you will serve, the Lord Jesus Christ or something else in His name.

I had chosen Him, but I still had asked Him to help me to do it & I am glad I did. Whew.

I have no idea why you are posting all those verses as they have nothing at all to do with the laughter that happens in meetings.

Whew.

The scripture says that the HOLY SPIRIT will lead us into all truth, not Jesus.

I'm with Nancy. If I wandered into that, I would back slowly away and leave them to it.
