    Strong Delusion

You ARE kidding, right? Paul died to himself on a daily basis, I guess he didn't understand there was nothing more he had to do, there was no need for him to pursue in order to reach the prize! A person does not "die" and are completely mature in one day, it's why James and Peter said to...

The most "evident" truth of scripture

Now that Christ fulfilled the righteousness of the law in us.......works of faith is the only way to go, eh? :)

completely mature. James refers to this: James 1:4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Yes! This is exactly what God has said we should be!

    The Religion Box

So you do believe we endure and can remain sinless!!!! Now you're getting somewhere! :)

The most "evident" truth of scripture

It would only be justifiable if the person had success, otherwise it's a waste of time. :)

    The Religion Box

I would venture to say most people don't understand what the gospel of Christ even is........ They make it all about them - "my salvation". Christ empowers us, to do His will, provides grace to keep from sinning. 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind...

    Strong Delusion

John 12:23 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

    The Religion Box

Why do you mock what God commanded? Maybe it's why God commanded to love, not know it all.

    The Religion Box

They were neither hot nor cold, it is what James 4:17 says - if anyone knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is a sin for them. But they don't know they need correction - how do they know if it is all they have learned!

    The Religion Box

I suppose it's whatever makes one "feel good". On the other hand, if a person doesn't realize they are deluded, then they won't know they've accepted a lie for the truth.

    The Religion Box

I never really got that, and I know which scripture you are referring to, but if we repent of bad doings, He sees them no more and all He would see is our good doings - or at least what He tells us to do and we do them - these would be judged by Him as good and obedient. If this were the case...

    The Religion Box

Let's say a person only understood or even believed 85% of the Bible but they loved perfectly........would his love trump his misunderstanding?

    What? You lost me.

    The Religion Box

You hit the nail on the head right here, if we are obedient to Christ, people see this as somehow saving ourselves. 1 John 5:3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, If God commanded us to give to the poor - as He has already commanded - we...

Besides the fact, IQ has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God, it is only a man's measure of something that man himself has prioritized. Learning God's Truth doesn't require a high IQ, what is required is at least one person of the Godhead, namely the Holy Spirit to lead us into that Truth.
