    The Religion Box

And while they are waiting, maybe a person shouldn't bash on people who have had experiences with God.

    The Religion Box

According to your posts, it's almost demonic to experience anything that has to do with God, so with this knowledge and evidenced through many of your posts on this forum, I doubt much.

    The Religion Box

When I see things like this it seems the person writing it has never experienced God for themselves in a real way. Too many people hang on to what happened to Paul, what happened to Peter, etc. and never experiencing God. We walk in the Spirit, led by Him - it's supposed to be Spiritual! We...

    The Religion Box

Who says we can not receive more? The Bible says that for those who have been faithful in a little they are given more!

    The Religion Box

I know, I was trying to add to your post. ;) Hopefully it added a little insight. :)

Reps to you aspen. There are definite times where God tells someone to do something and it does not make sense at the time, only later does it become clear. Abraham - leave your country! How crazy was that! He left all he had ever known, by the way - kill your son, why you're at it!

    The Religion Box

Are you saying we should be able to comprehend all there is to know about God? Even though the Bible says His ways are mysterious?

    The Religion Box

Was this addressed to me? I used the bibical term for faith.

    The Religion Box

You are misunderstanding what I am saying then, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This very faith is what causes us to actually see! We can now see God in all, in everything, in every situation, there are no coincidences. All that happens, happens for...

Exactly!!! God has not changed! He STILL interacts with us, but our experiences are met with criticism and unbelief!

    The Religion Box

The thing is, a person will KNOW when they experience God in a real way, if they haven't, there is no understanding on their part. His desire is for US to experience Him.

Of course when you search for the occult - you'll get the occult, just as if we searched for Christian, we'd get sites about Christian's! LOL I agree with aspen, what exactly is wrong with mysticism? The definition itself is "experiencing and knowing God" - is this something you do not do? We...

    The Religion Box

Agreed! We are to be bearing His fruit, it's what Episkopos is trying to say. His Fruit is mature, complete, holy and perfect!! It is no longer I, but Christ living in me, His Fruit!!

The most "evident" truth of scripture

I hope it's not going to be an unbalanced view, the one where believers have no accountability.

    Strong Delusion

Amen! Thanks BrotherTom! AW Tozer in part says this about the new vs old cross, and it's truer today than even in his time. The new cross does not slay the sinner, it redirects him. It gears him into a cleaner and jollier way of living and saves his self-respect. To the "self-assertive" it says...

    What is this thread about?

    What was tithing?

Do you know Jesus already fulfilled the law? The law is already fulfilled, that's why we don't follow it, we follow Christ. There is no life in following the law, but there IS life in Christ! His life! Amen!

The most "evident" truth of scripture

It really doesn't matter if "many groups" teach one must keep the sabbath, just because "many groups" teach it, doesn't make it true. Many groups are wrong - Jesus is the Sabbath. Huh? Why would you suddenly jump to this conclusion? Why would you assume this?

    Strong Delusion

The OT is physical......the NT is spiritual. However, God has always required a humble and contrite heart.

    Strong Delusion

Water did not make the OT priests holy, go reread what God said about the requirement in their hearts.
