    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi Epi, Unfortunately you only have yourself to blame Epi... <_< Your ambiguous claims (without scripture), along with your boasts of being one of the very few with the truth whilst claiming the rest of us here follow fables when believing on Jesus, set the seed of doubting you and your...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi dragonfly, You may be quoting scripture but your meanings behind them is what I am trying to decipher. So far it has not been a clear explaination of what you guys believe. EK especially has offered much ambiguity with his allegations that others here believe in fables if they believe in the...

    The Law

Hi dragonfly and Axehead, The 10 commandments have no bearing on the righteousness of those in Christ. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness, Rom 10:4. The question you ask as to whether the 10 commandments apply under the NC is irrelevant. As Axehead mentioned, we are under the law...

    Faith without works is dead

Hi dragonfly, Just a quick answer here as I'm late for work. Regarding Axeheads list below, they are covered by the works of believing on Jesus (John 6:29). 1. "abiding in Christ" (John 15) 2. "putting to death the deeds of the flesh" as the Spirit leads. 3. Walking in holiness (without which...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi Axehead, I abide in the doctrine of Christ. BTW, no I don't get your hints. Remember I already had discussions with your church colleague Epi with his ambiguous claims on sin, not abiding in Christ, making Christ harder to attain, condemnation, etc and his boasts of being one of the very...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi Epi, Thanks, but it was already mentioned earlier that you guys follow the same church but you haven't met, being in different countries. I realise you have been "taught by the same Master" (as you put it), but what I'm trying to determine is what you doctrine actually is and thereby...

    The Law

Hi Axehead, Whilst I agree in general with your post above, I suspect we have differences in understanding what it really means. As you are from the same church as Episkopos, perhaps you can explain what his doctrinal claims mean in light of your post above. Epi claimed that he sinned and...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi dragonfly, I agree that there is really only one church, that is the body of Christ. As you, Axehead and Episkopos all fellowship at the same church this indicates a choice of adherance (for whatever reason) to follow that church's doctrines. I had hoped that your revealing which church you...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi dragonfly, Hi dragonfly, Thanks for your answer. It was however quite lengthy and did not explain your doctrine plainly. Sorry for being so persistent. I have learnt that it's best to try to keep messages concise and simple for all to understand. Especially as the written word can be so...

    Faith without works is dead

Hi dragonfly, I'm in agreement with Paul's exhortation. We also see in scriptures calls for repentance for those in spiritual adultery/fornication/walking in the flesh.

    Faith without works is dead

Hi dragonfly We'll have to disagree on James 4:17, Galatians and Corinthians. All 3 books speaks out against those in spiritual adultery/fornication, turning back to works of the law (making themselves transgressors, Gal 2:18). I'm not sure what "key differences" you might be looking for as...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi dragonfly, My questions are to try and understand what your doctrine states. I'm still unsure whether your doctrine is about works of the law or grace. There is no seeking on my part to rejoice over your failings, etc. Having had previous discussions with Episkopos (who shares your same...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Hi dragonfly and Axehead, A few questions for you both. Are you both members of the same church and what is that church? Do you still sin? How do you define sin? What is your standing if you still sin? Thanks

    Faith without works is dead

Hi Axehead, Jesus was asked what works we should do. He answered "believe on him whom he has sent", John 6:29 Regarding that list you gave asking if I thought it was works, unfortunately I don't know how you define/understand each of these points you listed. There is much confusion in these...

    Faith without works is dead

Hi Epi, Interesting to see you referred to 1John 3:24. Are you referring to the commandments given in 1John 3:23 as the commandments we keep and not the 10 commandments as I had thought you were arguing for? 1John 3:23 "And this is His commandment; that we should believe on the name of His Son...

    Faith without works is dead

Hi dragonfly, The law I referred to is the law of sin and death (Rom 8:2), aka the law of righteousness (Rom 9:31). Some refer to this as the Mosaic law. Unfortunately others do split this law up in their argument for the necessity of keeping the commandments as proof of salvation.

    Faith without works is dead

AMEN ! Hi dragonfly, I agree dead men don't sin, but we clearly differ in our understanding of this. I have asked Epi and he admits he still sins. How about you? Do you still sin? And can you clarify what you see the law as?

    Faith without works is dead

Hi Epi, Maybe it's time you got out of the dark with your ambiguous posts, lack of scripture and boasts of having the only truth while the rest of us here are in "fantasy". It seems like you like it in the dark ridiculing others here instead of open, plain sharing on scriptures.

    Faith without works is dead

Hi dragonfly, If I misunderstand what you understand the "good" James 4:17 speaks of, I am always open to correction. Forums are diffcult places to clearly get a message understood anyway. Can you clarify what you think the "good" means in James 4:17? BTW, what church do you refer to in saying...

    Faith without works is dead

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin I see this scripture being quoted here with assumption that it means either good behavior/lifestyle and/or keeping the 10 commandments. Yet when we read James 4:11,12 it speaks against those under the...
