Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

I have just looked through his reasons and they are logically flawed. There’s a lot of “god of the gaps” involved as the basis of his reasoning which are all arguments from ignorance. Also, reasons to believe, is not the same as evidence to believe.

Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

One of the worst arguments for God is that whenever something isn’t understood or doesn’t make sense, believers will say, “God works in mysterious ways. Unless you have the mind of God, you cannot understand since you’re a limited human.” By that same token, saying things such as God is good or...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

He lost 2020, doesn’t matter who loves him and who doesn’t and now is on the verge of indictment. Many Christians claim they are all about the objective truth but objectively speaking they don’t won’t admit he is not the 46th president.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Trump unfortunately became what he hates most: a loser. He did lose 2020, I don’t buy all the fraud claims. Every losing side claims election fraud just like the democrats did in 2016 claiming Russia was behind it. They recounted votes for him and everything and he still came up short. Sometimes...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

You might find this disappointing but, “God’s word” and my quote are both equally valid, different words…same end goal. Neither one is inferior or superior to the other. I don’t shoot down what Christians read until it gets to their head that what their own scripture is somehow superior to...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Christians are not the only ones who know how to roll with the punches of life. I’ve been doing just fine, I even used to be homeless for a short while literally sleeping under a staircase with nothing but the clothes on my back. Not once did I pray to God during or thanked God after. I just...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Dropship, I think hell was invented by people not knowing how to take responsibility for their happiness. They had nothing better to think about, so they invented the concept of hell. Try telling a prisoner in North Korea who tried escaping that there’s an even worse place and you will get...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

What I’m getting at is things only have as much power over you as you allow them to have. I can’t be in hell if I decide to make a heaven out of it because free will, remember? Just like you doing your time and forgetting about your release date, I too will forget I’m in hell.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

You say if God still sends you to hell, then you’ll take it like a man. You do know that when you accept something, you become free from it right? So by accepting you’re in hell, you are no longer in hell. You see this happen a lot among prisoners who are doing time and accepted it to the point...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

If the devil is responsible for division, then why do Christians preach that only they are right and everyone else is wrong? Why does going to hell even matter if God gave us free will? That means I can be in hell and make a heaven out of it. Saying that people choose to go to hell is akin to...

Jesus literally leaves their mouth every single day. How are a vegan, cross fitter, and a Jesus believer alike? They will let you know within 5 minutes.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

You say that by me saying I don’t know anything, I’m playing a word game. Well, I don’t know if I’m playing a word game either. You also said if I didn’t know anything I wouldn’t know how to log onto this site. There is a difference between relative knowledge and knowing ultimate reality. The...

That’s not what I see. What I see is fanaticism of Jesus.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

AIDS is more prevalent among homosexuals because they have more partners, not because of the back door act. Many straight couples use the back door without getting AIDS. Maybe a UTI but not AIDS. In Leviticus 18:22 which mentions that lying with another man is an abomination has been...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

I never said I took pew as the absolute truth, you are assuming. By that same token, you are also automatically refuting the validity of any research studies completely which isn’t exactly an indicator of critical thought. Atheism is not a religion or a belief. Remember when you said proper use...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

I don’t see a fundamental difference between Jesus walking on water and a winged rabbit. The only difference is that one is socially accepted and thrown into the ‘religion’ category and the other society will call you crazy for believing in it. You have a bias for a man on a cross who could...

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

There is no faith in a lack of belief in god. It’s not a belief, but a lack.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

And atheism is a layer of skepticism. Atheists simply lack the belief in a god. The ones who assert there is no god is a subcategory. I don’t have faith in faith. This is the core of postmodernism. The very notion of truth is taken into question.

My friend, if that’s not mystical then I don’t know what is. You think I’m a mystic and talk about mystical things yet the majority of Christian concepts are pretty mystical in nature. Angels, demons, hell, heaven, Holy Spirit…sounds pretty mystical to me.
