Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

If the mortgage on your home was paid in full, would you pay for it again because the bank reprinted it on yellow paper? Hebrews 8:7, 13 NIV 7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. ... 13 By calling this covenant “new,” he...

What's so great about Jesus? (seriously) ???

Sorry, don't follow the logic there. I like what you are saying, but I don't follow it. [

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

Please, God's laws of human conscience have been in force since the Garden (orchard). [

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

Why do you assume I am wrong? Your own views lead you to a conclusion which may be false. [

@Sister-n-Christ Why would you find humor in that? [

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

Wick Stick said: This wasn't addressed to me, so pardon my interruption I don't see "the Law written on our hearts" as a matter of conscience. I see it as being those same 10 old commands, but enforced by ourselves upon ourselves, rather...

    The Case for Eternal Security

Sabbath is part of what you call "the moral law". It appears to me that Sabbath-breaking is only immoral for Jews. An offense against the Sabbath-keeping community. You sidestepped the question. But I can drop it if you wish. Perhaps @Sister-n-Christ could take a stab at it? [

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

These God-fearing gentiles in synagogues were converts to Judaism. Without conversion, they were not welcome. Peter said this while at the house of Cornelius. "You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile." (Acts 10:28) [

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

St. SteVen said: Gentile Christians were never welcome in the synagogues. (as walk-ins) Actually, Jewish believers in Jesus weren't welcome either. (and you remember what Saul was up to when he went to Damascus) Acts chapter 9. John 12:42 NIV Yet at the same time many...

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

Really? What are you up to? By referring to it as "God's Sabbath" you bring judgement. Are you claiming you don't judge those who don't keep "God's Sabbath"? - LOL [

The deconstructing of the law in the New Testament

Not all of them. Pagans don't feel guilty about idolatry. Christians don't feel guilty about "Sabbath-breaking". Is Swearing a Violation of the Ten Commandments? - No. - Well, maybe... ??? Is Lying a Violation of the Ten Commandments? - No. - Well, maybe... ...

    The Case for Eternal Security

The book of Galatians works pretty well. Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” Galatians 3:18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace...

    The Case for Eternal Security

What is your definition of the Law? (capital L) ??? And the phrase "the Law or the Prophets"? (capital L, capital P) ??? What Law did Jesus not come to abolish? (the Books of the Law) Jesus explained what he meant after His resurrection. But the phrase expanded to "the Law of Moses, the...

Jesus is the answer. - But what's the question?

Here's how I see it. It's not about us, it never was. Only God can save. Romans 5:18-19 NIV Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the...
