    Is believing/faith a work ?

Avoiding the issues now personal attacks.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Apart from works of merit (EPh 2:8-9) apart from works of the OT law (Rom 4:5) not apart from obedience to God (Heb 5:9; Rom 6:16-18) for no one was ever saved while continuing to live in difiance, rebellion, disobedience to God's will...no one.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

Jn 3:5 --------------born or water and of the SPirit >>>>>>>>>>>> enter the kingsom Matt 7:21---------doeth the will of the Father>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> enter the kingdom Being born again requires an obedient doing on the part of man in doing as God says in believing (Jn 8:24), repenting of sins (Lk...

    The Sinners Prayer?

Obedience is how one is saved, (Heb 5:9; Rom 6:16-18; Acts 2:38; etc) not by reciting some 'sinner's prayer' and obedience is not a work of merit.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Repeating this same statement continues to prove nothing for it has no Biblical, logical facts supporting it.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

You avoid dealing with the facts again.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Hi, I don't know if this post was meant for me or not but I will give my thoughts on it. Man obviously cannot put God in a box but God has, in a sense, put man in a box for if man has any desire to be saved then man must meet the parameters, meet the terms and conditions God has put upon His...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

    1) Noah built the ark IN ORDER to be saved from the flood not BECAUSE he was already saved from the flood 2) Naaman dipped in the river IN ORDER to recievf healing not BECAUSE he was already healed 3) The blind man went and washed his eyes IN ORDER to receive his sight not BECAUSE he already had...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

You avoid dealing with the facts presented....again. Noah moved with fear built an ark (necessary condition) unto the saving of his house (free gift of God). Naaman dipped 7 times in the Jordan (necessary condition) in order to be healed of his disease (free gift of God) The blind man was told...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

You did not even bother yourself to address a single fact I presented but keep repeating this unbiblical, unfactual, unprovable, illogical statement you've created out of thin air. PROVE from the cases I cited that God's gift was not free but merited simply because God required a term to be met...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

You continue to avoid the issue of free gifts having necessary conditions attached in order to receive the free gift: Noah moved with fear built an ark (necessary condition) unto the saving of his house (free gift of God). Naaman dipped 7 times in the Jordan (necessary condition) in order to be...

    The Sinners Prayer?

If one were saved by reciting some "sinner's prayer" then that would be a work, something done and it would make salvation conditional upon one's work in saying a sinner's prayer. But salvation is conditional, not upon saying a sinner's prayer, but upon obedience in doing what God says in...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

They may argue no one is so evil to deserve an eternity in hell, but likewise, no one is so good to deserve an eternity in heaven either. My favorite of the articles is this one: https://apologeticspress.org/the-goodness-of-god-and-an-eternal-hell-1141/ The gist of the article is that even...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

2 Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (aionios)". Paul is not contrasting temporal things to temporal things but instead is contrasting the...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Hi, Christ is the Messenger of the NT not those who claim to be current day prophets. Everlasting torment. https://christiancourier.com/articles/the-holy-spirit-illumination-theory-a-critical-review Above is a good article exposing these present day prophets. Excerpt from above link: "What...

    "Who Blinded The Jews?...

HOLD ON THERE!!!!! Don't accuse me of racism simply because I do not believe in heretical teachings as premillennialism. Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear...

    Law vs Gospel

Mk 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Context!!!! Christ was speaking to Jews who ALREADY were believers in God, they were not atheists with Christ telling them to begin to believe. Those Jews had disobeyed the OT and...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Sure it is for the written word is how Christ speaks to us today. Again, Heb 1:1-2 Christ is the Messenger that brought us His NT in writtten form. Therefore self-proclaimed false prophets are not the messengers delivering the NT piece by piece, line by line where we do not have the complete...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

All we have is God's written word for God nor the Holy Spirit directly speak to man today. Heb 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things...

    The Sinners Prayer?

Faith onlyists deny that salvation requires any kind of work at all and take verses like Rom 4:5 or Eph 2:8-9 out of context and use them as supposed "proof texts" assuming that these verses eliminate any and all works from obtaining the promise of salvation. Yet in the Is believing/faith a...
