Tell me, have you seen him?

No. It’s a simple explanation of why we both need to move on.

Tell me, have you seen him?

I‘ve corrected you so many times and it hasn’t made any difference at all. That leaves me with a decision to make about you; about us. Here’s where we are: I’m not in your league. You should find members on the forum who are.

Tell me, have you seen him?

A word to my readers. From time to time members here have asked me for links to a website / websites that present my position. I’ve provided links several times on this forum but I don’t any longer. Why? Simple, really. Every time that I have, that was the end of the conversation. I’m here for...

Tell me, have you seen him?

That hasn’t prevented you from telling others that I believe something that I don’t. A word of advice. Don’t bear false witness against anyone and don’t seek to join yourself to someone when you don’t understand what they believe. I have explained to you. I have explained to others. Hundreds...

Tell me, have you seen him?

You and I both know and have agreed that you don’t understand what I believe. When someone doesn’t understand what someone else believes but goes around telling others what they don’t understand as if they do then what is told isn’t going to be the truth. It will be a mixture of truth and error...

    Time Is Short

“Each morning, God deposits 86,400 seconds into our bank of time. But nothing carries over to the next day. Spend it well.” - Chuck Swindoll

The one who is still to come

    No. See Psalm 110:1. That’s a triad.

The one who is still to come

That’s odd. I have. Hundreds upon hundreds of times on this forum. The God of the OT scriptures is the God of the NT scriptures. “LORD” is the standard convention used in most English translations of the Bible in place of the one God’s personal name, the tetragrammaton (yod-he-vav-he). Yahweh...

The one who is still to come

Have you never heard me say before?

The one who is still to come

Someone in your position has to take a low view of scholarship. The Holy Spirit won’t teach anyone that Jesus isn’t a Jewish monotheist.
  11. Matthias

The one who is still to come

It’s true that I‘m a monotheist. It’s also true that the Messiah and the apostles are monotheists. Speaking against monotheists does nothing to strengthen your position. In fact, it undermines it.

The one who is still to come

What should @David in NJ do? Quote trinitarian scholars who deny that Jesus himself is a Jewish monotheist, if he can locate any.
  13. Matthias

The one who is still to come

As I’ve demonstrated, scripture and trinitarian scholarship aren’t on your side. That hasn’t meant anything to you. That’s your business. Jesus himself, as virtually all scholars recognize and acknowledge, is a Jewish monotheist. It’s simply an historical fact. That’s my business.
  14. Matthias

The one who is still to come

None of that is true. My theology is his theology. Yours isn’t. I’m good with mine and you appear to be good with yours, which was formerly mine.

    Continuing Education

Barbed wire, machine guns and guards couldn’t stop them. What’s keeping you from continuing education?

The one who is still to come

“In summary, the Gospels contain clear and uncomplicated declarations of classic Israelite monotheism attributed to Jesus himself.” (Jerome H. Neyrey, “Was Jesus of Nazareth a Monotheist? Conversation with Cultural Studies”) https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0146107919852270 “Classic...
