data from UK government show 3 times more likely to die from covid after 2 dose of Pfizer covid vax

Very strange... I know dozens of people who have had the vaccine (I've had four doses myself) and not a single one of them has come to any harm from it. Perhaps there's some kind of genetic variation in the population that accounts for such an unusually high rate of problems where you're living.

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

Most people who wear St Christopher medals do so for superstitious reasons. It's a way of claiming the saint's protection while travelling. The issue is - if we know Jesus and have God's angels to guard us, why should we need "St Christopher" as well? Especially since dead believers, however...

data from UK government show 3 times more likely to die from covid after 2 dose of Pfizer covid vax

There is no report for "the period to 27 March 2022." (Sorry, I should have put the quotation marks in the first time) There's one for the week ending the 24 March and one for the week ending the 31 March. If the authors of the report have got that number wrong, it doesn't give me any faith in...

Does this disprove that Jesus was physically resurrected from the dead?

Does this disprove that Jesus was physically resurrected from the dead? No. Because James, Joseph and Jesus were all such common names in first century Palestine that there could easily have been dozens of families with that combination of names.

data from UK government show 3 times more likely to die from covid after 2 dose of Pfizer covid vax

I've checked your source, and it's based on false information. There is NO UK vaccine surveillance report covering the period to 27 March 2022. The reports published in March 2022 do not contain any information on infection rates and death rates in unvaccinated people - so where does that data...

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

Why is it "lazy" to want to just read the Bible, without having a dictionary or lexicon in one's hand at the same time? When the KJV was first published, people didn't need a lexicon in order to understand it. Were they lazy?

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

Not true. The words of Matthew 17:21 can be read at Mark 9:29. The words of Matthew 18:11 can be read at Luke 19:10. The words of Matthew 23:14 can be read at Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47. (And there are helpful footnotes in Matthew to point you to these places) So they are not "completely...

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

Bad example - the evidence that it is a non-apostolic insertion is overwhelming.

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

I already have a new translation - been using them for 48 years, and no need for a dictionary at all!

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

Of course it's easy to do if you know that the meaning is or might be different - the problem is that the average modern reader won't know! They will simply assume that these words have their modern meaning, and be confused or even totally misled. To do as you suggest would entail looking up...

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

This isn't the big issue that KJV-only enthusiasts make it out to be. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it's a non-issue. None of God's word is missing from the new versions. Many many duplications have been removed (which I have never found a problem), and the very small remainder can...

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

"Prevent" and "reins" have changed.. they don't have the old meanings any more even in "formal" English.

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

The 'thees' and 'thous' aren't really the problem, because they're so obviously "old" and if you don't already know what they mean you can look them up in a dictionary. The real problem is the words that have changed their meaning. These can catch people out and cause them to misinterpret what...

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

We have so many good modern translations. I see no need (personally) for an update of the KJV.

    6 Rituals In Christianity

I think a new Christian might be a bit confused by this. Some of the terminology is inaccurate. "Submission" and "atonement" are not rituals, though "Confirmation" is and "Confession" can be. "Submission" is what I would call conversion. That is when the Holy Spirit is given to us. But...

    kenites

Yes, we know who the Kenites are - the descendants of Moses' brother-in-law Hobab (Numbers 10:29-32; Judges 1:16). They travelled alongside the Israelites from Mount Sinai and settled in the Promised Land, but kept themselves separate and maintained their own distinct culture. And every so...

    Numbers 23:19: Big Problem

You can say "Jesus is God", but not "God is Jesus". The two statements are not interchangeable. God is the Father and the Spirit as well as the Son. Only the Son became human. John states quite categorically, "The Word (i.e. the Son) became flesh." (John 1:14) So He wasn't human from the...

    Paralambanetai

Oh, thank you - glad you liked it
  19. Deborah_

    Paralambanetai

"-etai" is the ending that signifies the third person (he, she, or it) in the present tense. It also signifies the passive (in other words, he, she or it is having something done to him/her/it). Translated into English, it becomes "he/she/it is (being) forcibly taken" So the "-etai" bit conveys...

    Luke 12:47-48 question

Jesus was talking about the eternal consequences of abusing positions of leadership in the Church. Paul is talking about something completely different - the persecution he suffered on earth for preaching the gospel.
