Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Ok, let's see if I am on the same page with you. First, you say you are a teacher. I know that there are infants in Christ that need teachers. The more mature persons need someone to give cause to search the scriptures to either validate or amend the things that they have been already taught...

Is Lying a Violation of the Ten Commandments? - No. - Well, maybe... ???

OK, everyone see the worms now? :hmhehm I am reminded of those who search tax law to see what loopholes that can be found. I think the Pharisees tried to close all the loopholes and it took a great many rules to accomplish that. The effect was to bring burdens too heavy to bear. Yahweh gave...

Is Lying a Violation of the Ten Commandments? - No. - Well, maybe... ???

Well, sir, I can tell you that I avoid lying to anyone. I feel guilt for stretching any truth (called lying). I have also learned to answer questions very slowly because abrupt answers - not thought out before given - often are not complete truth. The harlot who hid Yahweh's spies in Canaan...

Is Lying a Violation of the Ten Commandments? - No. - Well, maybe... ???

Hello can-of-worms, how ya doin? I simply respond with "do we ever lie in such a way that it shows love to God and to others?"

Do You Have a Covenant With God?

What does these passages say? Jeremiah 31:31-34 Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I don't have to bother to post it again. God back to post 374.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Do you understand the whole concept of a covenant? I think, if you do, then you know a covenant can be broken. While it won't be on Yahweh's part, it is breakable from ours.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Thank you for your response. Yes, books are mentioned in Daniel 7 - though no name is provided for them. I know of the references to those within the city and those outside the city, but that still leaves the question of the one's not written in the Lamb's book being cast into the Lake of Fire...

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Well, then I am sorry that I didn't see your answer. You did not name even one translation as a good bible. But, that is what I was expecting to my simple question. Can you not name what you call a "good translation?" Your answer tells me only that you might select one that simply confirms...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Is the bible true? Is it "God breathed?" If so, do not all scripture passages support the same truth? Then, one must not accept a doctrine that is no confirmed in all scripture. Matthew 7:21 ESV Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

That is the English translation that should be corrected because "forever" is not the same as "for the ages." The verse should read: Heb 13: 6-8 So that we have courage to say, "The Lord is my Helper, and I shall not be afraid of what man shall be doing to me!" Be remembering those of your...

Do You Have a Covenant With God?

Well, my brother, I know the verses you posted, but thank you. I was looking for the verse that says the New Covenant was between Yahweh and Yeshua and not between Yahweh and man.

In exile from the church - disconnected from what?

Yes, my sister, I view this fallen condition of a Christianity based on unscriptural doctrines by a group that enforces their statements by shunning those who don't accept them, stigmatizing those who dare to speak up, and leaving those who loved being in a community of believers by themselves...

Do you guys support any of the "non-mainstream" party candidates? Such as Nikki Haley, Andrew Yang, Jill Stein, Marianne Williamson?

And I see this darkness coming as well. However, when something is my opinion, I find it is helpful to let people know that it is JUST my view. Otherwise, I would be claiming knowledge of truth, right?

In exile from the church - disconnected from what?

They, too, can grow like a mustard seed. I can only hope that they don't become one of the modern churches.

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Wow, your claim of this knowledge and ability to discern the quality of bibles is amazing. You should probably consider that your truth is based on doctrines that you have been taught.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

All this still leaves me wondering why we would ever be told that we can be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life. Does that not mean that we were, at one time, written in it?

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Doctrine can be so harmful as it is used as a divider between believers in the Messiah. Not only that, I have found that people defend church doctrines more than they do scripture. We are not saved by doctrine. We are saved (as past tense) by faith which leads to submission.

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Here are some other translations: New International Version I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame. New Living Translation I bow before your holy...
