    JOHN 14:12 WHATSOEVER YOU ASK

It always seems to. My objection to Dispensationalism (history aside) is that it conceptualizes God as being variable, and ever-changing.

    JOHN 14:12 WHATSOEVER YOU ASK

Yes, I believe so. Jesus asked Peter both questions... Do you LOVE me? and Do you FRIEND me? English Bibles are confusing here because they translate both words as LOVE, causing virtually everyone to miss the point.

14 IRRESOLVABLE CONTRADICTIONS WHICH RESULT FROM A LITERAL RICH MAN AND LAZARUS

Suit yourself, but a book doesn't need to be inspired to learn something from it. In the gospels, there's a ton of references to 1Enoch. Reading it would lead to a better understanding of the actual Bible.

14 IRRESOLVABLE CONTRADICTIONS WHICH RESULT FROM A LITERAL RICH MAN AND LAZARUS

I don't know for sure, but I doubt that Lazarus was a popular name. It's a Greek-ification of Hebrew Lo-Ezer which means "no help." Usually names mean positive things.

14 IRRESOLVABLE CONTRADICTIONS WHICH RESULT FROM A LITERAL RICH MAN AND LAZARUS

The "Rich Man" in the parable is probably a thinly veiled reference to Caiaphas, who was the high priest at the time. This is why he wore "purple and linen," which is the Biblical dress of the high priest. This is why he makes reference to his "five brethren" as well - Caiaphas was one of 6...

14 IRRESOLVABLE CONTRADICTIONS WHICH RESULT FROM A LITERAL RICH MAN AND LAZARUS

I would recommend reading 1Enoch 22, a bit out of an extra-Biblical Hebrew book that was popular in the 1st century. It has quite a bit to do with the Lazarus and the Rich Man. Jesus was clearly familiar with this writing, and may be riffing off of it when he tells this story.

I asked Jesus to critique my faith - He said "you take too long to rebuke the Devil" (no kidding!)

This strikes me as a funny phrase. Perhaps do something proactive instead of reactive?

    Agape or Phileo?

Does it? Balaam was a prophet, but he gave the Moabites some very naughty advice.

Disobedience IS sin. You can't make them separate things.

Is the "eternal fire" of Sodom still burning? - Nope

That seems to be a pattern with Jack. In multiple topics, I've seen him post verses that absolutely refute what he says right above them.

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

It's not a conspiracy, and it's not just in English translations. It's a result of following an overly pious Jewish tradition. The Jews stopped speaking the name of the LORD, supposedly out of reverence, sometime in the late Iron Age. This eventually spilled over into writing as well - people...

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

I don't think that's quite right. There are some several categories of gods, some of which are hostile to the Elohim, or compete with them. Elohim isn't ALL gods, but it's the most significant group of gods in the Bronze Age Levant, taking in all the "Sons of God" which includes deified kings...

How Does the Bible Define Sin?

Multifariously. There are at least 4 words translated 'sin.' They don't all mean quite the same thing

Holy run-on sentences, Batman. Added breaks so I could read it (above)

Agreed. Monotheism is orthodox for Judaism

I don't think he means the modern Baptist denomination. He's talking about the group in the 1st century founded by John the Baptist

    Was Jesus Orthodox? (or Baptist?)

His teaching don't totally match any group, but he agrees better with some of the Essene groups than either Hillel or Shammai
