Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Your original answer was good and correct. But perhaps you are missing the point--that the words often have greater meaning as a foreshadowing or as prophecy. Which things are hidden from the natural man, thus resulting in the failure of learned men to precieve the greater massage from God. Such...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

That is not the context or point of the Original Post. The point rather is to learn from the mistakes of the Priests and Pharisees of Jesus' time, of being knowledgeable of the scriptures, but not able to recognize Jesus as Messiah.

Knowing the Day and the Hour of the Lord's Coming

The fact that I more than answered but also explained and you find that disturbing, is not only all the more disturbing, but quite telling. Regularly is faithfully. No, the confirmation you are describing comes from the customs and teachings of men. Were God's servants the prophets of old...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I quoted the scriptures. Why are you shocked at what Jesus and Paul said is true?

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

No, but rather a reminder that "the words are spirit" and must be "spiritually discerned."

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

1 Corinthians 14. The whole chapter should be read, but vs 34 is the verse that says to be silent. Which, for women to speak in the congregation was basically against the Law.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Yes, in Paul's local context, women were being disruptive and so he spoke to that local issue. Which God then saw fit to include in His eternal word as being applicable in a parable sense to the greater need and guidance of the Church as a whole in its role as Bride (women). In the local...

Knowing the Day and the Hour of the Lord's Coming

I answered you on this already. Pay more attention. I and my wife are regular attendees at a local church. I have been confirmed first and foremost by God, and also Paul and John.

Knowing the Day and the Hour of the Lord's Coming

I do not "fancy myself", but know that the Spirit speaks through me in accord with what He has said and is written. And you should be asking yourself why that bothers you so much.

Knowing the Day and the Hour of the Lord's Coming

YOU ARE MISQUOTING ME. STOP IT OR I WILL REPORT YOU. That apparently is the problem--you have not even comprehended what I have actually said.

    The THREE DAYS of Christ.

Y Yes, but as a parable and revelation, it was a spiritual event only portrayed physically in the world/tomb.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I just answered that question replying to someone else: The precedent set by Israel's failure was something we should have learned from, not to make the same mistakes. Unfortunately, we have already made much the same mistake now for 2,000 years: They rejected Jesus in the flesh, and the church...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Yes, that is what the precedent set by Israel's failure was for--as something we should learn of not to make the same mistakes. Unfortunately, we have already made those same mistakes now for 2,000 years: They rejected Jesus in the flesh, and the church has rejected Him in spirit, by expecting...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Yes, and yet there is still the issue and example made by the Priests, Pharisees, and lawyers of the Law/Word, who failed seemingly knowing the scriptures.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

It is written, Jesus was "Us" in spirit before the Word, came in the flesh, then returned. From flesh and blood He returned to be One with the Father again, whom "is spirit", and said, "follow Me." Depending on what point you come in on Jesus' example, I suppose you could answer it either way...

I might need a math lesson to follow you on that one. hlf clfh

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I should think that is not the order of Jesus' own walk...thus not one to "follow", but to avoid.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I offer that as a rhetorical question, but one worthy of consideration. Seriously--just ask the Priests and Pharisees of Jesus's time when you see them. Some may only be able to wave from across the everlasting gulf, if at all. But surely there are a few present in heaven...like Nicodemus for...

    Difficulty in Discerning God's Word

The conflict is not a matter of God's will, but is a parable, and a foreshadowing of what would occur between God's leading of Israel and Christ (son of David) building His church. Israel was leading Israel (12 tribes)...in spite of their often doing evil. Messiah came and with Him the kingdom...

    The Coming Rapture

Sorry @Episkopos but the idea and belief that there would be a rapturous mass future only event coming at the end of the age...is the biblical "lie" spoken of by Paul. Such belief and delusion was allowed by God for unbelief in what Jesus actually said of His return, as what "must shortly come...
