Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Thanks for the explanation. What is your take on the broad and narrow ways? "Few there be that find it." seems to indicate the vast majority as going the broad way that leads to destruction. [

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

How did you arrive at that percentage? Don't the wide and narrow gate indicate otherwise? How many is a third of countless billions of souls? [

The view of the "Gentleman God" who honors human will above His own.

What if God is not willing that any should perish? Can humankind overrule His will? [

The view of the "Gentleman God" who honors human will above His own.

Do you think God has the same expectations for each individual? To which all members of the group are to be in lock-step? [

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

From post #1890. (with video "They lied about the Bible's God for over 2,000 years) I've been giving this a bit more thought. Every time I look into the books that were left out of the canon, the more I agree with their decisions. I found a video about the sayings of Jesus in the Gospel of...

Life in the Tribal Bubble - The unReal world?

Needs to be balanced with "Go therefore into all the world...", I suppose. If you view everyone outside the tribe as evil, you avoid them like the plague. [

The view of the "Gentleman God" who honors human will above His own.

Question: Is the will of God subordinate to the will of humankind? Interesting that those who claim that God is a gentleman, also believe that He will incinerate those who do not receive the free gift of salvation. What is gentle about that? To be clear, I still believe that every knee will...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Does this make God a likeable, or an unlikable character? The plan for humankind is destroy the vast majority? For what purpose? To what end? A worthwhile endeavor? [

Life in the Tribal Bubble - The unReal world?

Religious institutions, particularly the churches of Christianity, provide a sanitized sterile environment. A bit like a petri dish in a lab, in which church culture can safely grow. But, tribe members don't live in the bubble. So they have to travel outside eventually. They may surround...

Was religion created to meet a human need?

    - Is religion a response to an encounter with God? - Was religion created to meet a human need? - Or was religion an attempt to explain what we observed about our human predicament? [

Jesus is the way, but how many ways are there to Jesus?

We've all heard the biblical claim that Jesus is the way. (the truth and the life...) But how many ways are there to Jesus? - Does your church provide the only way to Jesus? - Do other churches provide a way to Jesus? - Do other religions provide a way to Jesus? - Can Jesus find someone...

Where did the Bible come from? - Shot out of a canon

I would ask, what is the source of salvation? Most would make it the personal responsibility of the one in need of salvation. As if they could save themselves. Whether a first chance, or a second chance. I would posit that the finished and complete work of the atonement is the means of...
