The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Every passage of scripture you quoted when properly explained fits perfectly with the Messiah’s own Jewish monotheism.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

That was unanticipated. I don’t know what to say but I feel that I must say something. Thank you. https://hbr.org/2021/04/do-compliments-make-you-cringe-heres-why

    So, you’ve rejected Jesus. Why?

No, that isn’t the goal. To get back to the Garden of Eden. God is running a rescue, recovery and restoration operation. When you have some time and interest, read Genesis chapters 1 and 2. Pause there and think about the condition of man before the trouble started. That is God’s intention for...

    So, you’ve rejected Jesus. Why?

There are many reasons why people believe it is true. The biggest reason, I think, is because it is connected with the gospel of the kingdom and the devil doesn’t want people to hear and believe the gospel. Going to heaven when we die isn’t the destiny of man. As one of my brothers in the faith...

    So, you’ve rejected Jesus. Why?

No, it isn’t true. Is bodily resurrection and judgement of the dead part of the reason why you’ve rejected Jesus?

    What are we doing here?

The definition of divine, which I posted in this thread earlier today. (See post #13.) As is my custom, I used a trinitarian source. Then you should. *** I read and understand scripture (the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament) from the perspective of Jewish monotheism. I’ve never attempted to...

    What are we doing here?

Functionally God is not literally God. I’m a Jewish monotheist. Jesus is a Jewish monotheist. My God / his God is only one person -> Yahweh, the God and Father of our lord Jesus Messiah. (You’ll find that reflected in my signature.) You don’t have to agree with me. You don’t even have to listen...

    What are we doing here?

I don’t deny the divinity of the Messiah. I affirm the divinity of the Messiah. You (and others) will find this in my posts, if you care to look. Why not? If what I have to say doesn’t resonate with you then reject it and go with what does.

    What are we doing here?

I was directly involved in the conversation and barely recognize it from your description.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Unless I missed it, so far no one has come forward to suggest that the Bible is Trinity-centered. It might yet happen but I find it interesting that after two months on a forum where Nicene Christianity is the dominant faith, no one has.

    So, you’ve rejected Jesus. Why?

The dead can’t do anything (except in horror movies).

    What are we doing here?

Happy to provide clarification. Thank you for asking. It means “and in the following verses”.

The happy thread was dead. Long live the happy thread!

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

@Rockerduck, what did Jesus say to you? What did the Holy Spirit say to you? If it’s too personal to share then please let me know and we can talk about something else.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Thanks. With your background I had assumed - that’s on me, not you - that you would know and say that Yahweh is the Father (see the concession made to Jewish monotheism by Ben Witherington - a trinitarian scholar who works at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY - whom I’ve quoted several times in...

    What are we doing here?

That’s not bad but the compiler could have said more. Exodus 7:1ff., for example, should have been included on the chart.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Do you know, or have any ideas about, why the Father didn’t speak to you? I think you’d enjoy reading it.
