    Romans 8

Jesus was talking to the unregenerate, not Christian brothers. And I think Jesus has a bit more justification for saying the things he did than you do. He was the perfect God incarnate. This is his world. He can say what He wants. Just because Jesus could do something does not give us the right...

    Romans 8

No, but the truth is in Scriptures, and if you are using your truth instead of the objective truth then there is a problem. Plus, I am skeptical about the truth being in one who will call his Christian brother a fool.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

An endevour is never pointless if commanded by God, no matter how it appears to man. Perhaps there were some in the crowd that would be changed by God, we do not know. But my question is: Do these people seem like the kind of people who could be saved by resistable grace?

    Romans 8

This thread seems to be ample proof of that, yes. I do find it somewhat ironic that when I completed the challenge issued, how quickly this thread seemed to die.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Isaiah 55:11 John 3:27 John 17:2 Romans 9:16 James 1:18 1 John 5:20 Man cannot resist the power of God. Theses verses do not have any options to resist in them; they simply say that God does things and humans respond. As for Acts, this verse actually shows the need for the I in TULIP. If this...

    Why the cross actually saves

Ok, so you believe that the ability to hear comes from God, making His operation [the operation of the Holy spirit] the catalyst, not your faith. Luke 8:10 states that the ability to hear the word comes from God. It is easy to have correct theology when you simply use Scriptures. And yet, your...

    Escape from a Death Cult:

A work is defined as any action that is done to attain a certain end or goal. "accepting this gift" [apart from the work of the Holy Spirit first] fits exactly into this category. You accepted to achieve the end or goal of salvation. That is a work. Now, I am not denying that you do need to...

    Why the cross actually saves

Air, water, and food are all essential. Which is the determining factor for life? We need Faith, but it is not the determining factor. The determining factor for Spiritual life is Grace, without which we could have no faith. Again, the problem you seem to have and display in your posts and...

    Why the cross actually saves

I gave you a plethora of verses that do substantiate the claims when I went through Romans 8 verse by verse. Have yet to get a response though. That's fine though.

    Why the cross actually saves

I was not aware that Calvin wrote Hebrews 12:2

    Why the cross actually saves

You said it yourself. By grace, not by faith. You say that it is not Biblical, and then quote one of many Scriptures that proves that it is not only plausible but Biblical. If a man does not have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is because it has not been given to him by the Spirit. I did not...

    Why the cross actually saves

Jesus saves us real time from our rejection and unbelief or lack of faith. It was claimed that this was an invention of Calvinism, when it clearly states in Hebrews 12:2 that Christ is indeed the Author and Finisher of our faith.

    Why the cross actually saves

Hebrews 12:2 The Bible said it first.

    Romans 8

Really because I used more scripture than my own actual commentary. So, does that mean the Bible preaches Calvinism?

    Romans 8

@CoreIssue Still waiting for you to deal with the verses and support verses. You said that Calvinists never deal with Romans 8, and so I went through verse-by-verse and dealt with the entire chapter, and supplied support verses as well. If you cannot respond, please just tell me so I am not...

    Romans 8

@CoreIssue are you going to go through each verse and their support verses and explain why they do not mean what I believe they mean. And please, provide Scripture, not conjecture.

    Romans 8

Still have yet to get a response to my posts.

    Why the cross actually saves

It's not the power of Christ, apparently we are trying to focus on the power of man.
