    Who’s words are these?

Would you not live and die for Jesus? He is the Lord’s Messiah. The apostles lived and died for him.

    Who’s words are these?

Jesus is the Lord Messiah. Yahweh is the Lord God.

    Who’s words are these?

I don’t have any problem dealing with those who wield the trinitarian creeds as a weapon upon me. What they do to me, they do to all Jewish monotheists. I’m confident that the Messiah - whom you know is himself a Jewish monotheist - will vindicate and reward me. It is my personal belief that...

    Who’s words are these?

Paul is speaking about God in Romans 14:8.

    QUOTE for the day

“We must let the prophets and apostles sit at the desk and we, seated at their feet, must listen to what they say and not say what they must listen to.” - Martin Luther

    Who’s words are these?

That’s true. That’s false. I taught the congregation I pastored, and I teach my readers, to be willing to suffer and die for both Jesus and God.

    Who’s words are these?

Most Jewish monotheists don’t but a small number of us do and have since the 1st century. I would say (and have said, even on this forum) to unbelieving Jewish monotheists: Jesus is the Messiah, Son of the living God. I’m willing to suffer and die for this belief.

    Who’s words are these?

God was God? I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. I believe God is the one God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -> the God and Father of Jesus of Nazareth. I’m a Jewish monotheist. I believe Jesus of Nazareth is a unique human person, the incarnation of the Father’s logos.

    Who’s words are these?

@PS95 are you paying attention to this?

    Who’s words are these?

It’s neither redundant nor deceptive. I’ve quoted a boatload of trinitarian scholars (in other threads) who acknowledge that Jewish monotheism is unitarian. Jesus himself is a Jewish monotheist. His God is the Father. I’m sure you’ve heard him say it in scripture yourself. I’ve already...

    Who’s words are these?

Thanks. We both have the New Testament. As I see it, the Jewish theology of the Hebrew Bible is the Messiah’s own Jewish theology and his theology is the theology of the New Testament. (That is why I quoted the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology.) From church history we can...

    Who’s words are these?

Then why isn’t his theology your theology? (I’m a Jewish monotheist because he’s a Jewish monotheist. His theology is my theology. Why, if you think it shouldn’t be, shouldn’t it be?) That’s right. He‘s the promised and prophesied messianic king. Do you support David typology? 1 Chronicles...
  13. Matthias

    Who’s words are these?

This isn’t complicated. Jewish theology isn’t trinitarian theology.
  14. Matthias

    Who’s words are these?

It doesn’t take a degree in civil engineering and theology to know that a one person God isn’t a three person God. You’ve done me a good service, and I thank you for it; but we are not brothers in the faith. @marks understands that. My hope is that you will come to. If / when you do, let’s talk...

    Who’s words are these?

I read what you wrote in full - which isn’t compatible with Jewish monotheism - and addressed what I think needed to be addressed. The more we speak the more convinced I am that Jewish monotheism is the way. The more that we speak the more convinced you seem to be that Jewish monotheism is just...
  16. Matthias

    Who’s words are these?

He himself tells us precisely who his one God and the one God of his disciples is. Jewish monotheists aren’t trinitarians.

    Who’s words are these?

I don’t know your dog (I’m sure he’s a good boy or girl) but if your dog was being walked this evening by Jesus of Nazareth, do you think the pooch would be being walked by a Jewish monotheist? * Lightheartedly asked by “the hound of Jewish monotheism” *
  18. Matthias

    Who’s words are these?

Do you believe Jesus himself is a Jewish monotheist?
