the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Wrong. Jesus speaks of having "Brothers". Not "siblings." Just like YOU can refer to another Christian male as your "brother", even though he's not your ACTUAL brother. Plus, there was NO WORD for "cousin" in Aramaic. Popes didn't "worship" Mary. They venerated her. There's a difference...

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

No verse in the bible says that the Word of God begins with Genesis and ends with Revelation. People have received and still do get private revelations from God. Just because *you* may not believe them doesn't mean they didn't (don't) happen. Maybe because Mary hadn't died on earth when the NT...

WHICH bible? Do you think that Martin Luther was "inspired" by the Holy Spirit when he wanted to remove 7 books from the bible? Was he "inspired" when he also wanted books from the NT removed, such as Hebrews, James, Jude, and Revelation? Do you know about the books such as the Epistle of...

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Ha, ha! Then you are willing to remain unenlightened. No problem. Says WHO? YOU?? Not speaking against God's Word. But if you look carefully at what Jesus said, he didn't ALWAYS quote scripture!

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Exactly! Not EVERYTHING is in "scripture" Wrong. Paul said PLENTY of times that he was speaking of his own opinion. "Not from the Lord". Yup! All scripture. Define "scripture". Right. And some of those who didn't believe, didn't adhere. Again, WHAT is scripture and what isn't?? It's...

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Show me in scripture where it says that Jesus nor Mary, nor any saint to bestow him/herself upon us AFTER the bible was written and affirmed by "them". Do you think that miracles were limited to ONLY what's in the bible? Do you really want to limit God's power to a BOOK?

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Look at the Catholic Catechism. Has a whole bunch of references (to scripture as well as outside of scripturee) as to where they get their beliefs from. Again, no scripture ever said that 'scripture'...as in biblical scripture...is the only place to be enlightned.

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Show me in scripture where it says to use a computer....or a car... Show me in scripture where it says that the "bible" is the ONLY word of God...and that God would never speak to other humans again....

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

What's interesting for me about that, is that I agree that yes...in Genesis, marriage began with ONE man and ONE woman. However, Genesis also says that a MAN "leaves his mother and father, and cleaves unto his wife". And yet, we seem to practice it as, a woman shall leave HER mother and father...

How can these new believers rely on 'our' patience and guidance' if *we* can't even agree?

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

That's interesting that you say that "Mary was in reality a 14 year old Jewish Girl". And yet NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE is Mary's age disclosed. So, how did you come up with that?

And yet some cultures do the same thing. Yet, I don't hear you complaining about that. I DO understand, but the RCC isn't telling individuals to keep "body parts". I understand that some saints lay as incorruptible. To me, that's somewhat miraculous. You don't know what the RCC teaches...

Eh. I don't completely agree, but I see where you're coming from. That's not "Doctrine"; that's Tradition! No different that keeping a vase of ashes of "Aunt Betty" on the mantle. "Catholics venerate relics—such as bones, hair, or clothes of saints—as a practice rooted in biblical...

Hundreds? Out of 1.3 billion? You researched ALL religions?

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Nope. Nope again. Saying they are the "only true church" does NOT mean they are a "cult." Do you know WHY they say that? The Catholic church doesn't believe that. Obviously someone can consider themselves to be a "good Catholic" by attending mass every Sunday, not eating meat on Fridays...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

First of all, there appear to be two perspectives about this. Exploring Possible Interpretive Perspectives 1. Literal Supernatural View: Some commentators hold that Satan effectively granted Jesus a momentary supernatural “vision” of every kingdom-past, present, and even future. This...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Please don't refer to the Catholic religion as a "cult". With over 1.3 billion members, it's hardly some "cult" outlier religion. It obviously doesn't have the greatest history, and even some of the so-called "doctrine" might be questionable. But I think that without further research it would...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

I come onto this forum and I see so much hatred for Catholics. And yet I ask myself, "Where in the bible did it tell us to HATE?" You'all criticize without anything worthy to back up your claims. You claim to be Christians, yet you don't act like Christians. Jesus never resorted to...
