Thank you, nedsk. Reminds me of what inspired me to go into Law. The movie "Twelve Angry Men". Hence, why I question what I question.

IF they don't ask for forgiveness! I guess you KNOW the heart of God.... God is more forgiving than YOU know. God knows if the person had some kind of impediment that caused them to murder. Only HE knows our hearts!!

They do! I'm sorry...but as a Catholic I've been taught (with the Bible) NOT to judge. Heck, I got out of Jury Duty because I KNEW that I'll probably never know the "truth, the WHOLE truth, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH" To me, that's for GOD to deal with. As for me, I'm just another peon...

And you can PROVE these are lies.....HOW?????

If he asked for forgiveness before he died, he JUST might be!

Nope. Not only Douay Rheims, and definitely NOT Satanic. Unless you have conclusive proof otherwise... No, it doesn't. Your really need to research the Catholic Beliefs instead of reading/listening to anti-Catholic sites. You're RIGHT! But ...how can I explain this.... It's like...

Jesus said that the ONLY "unforgiveable sin" is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

My mom told me a long time that most of us will be surprised to see who's in heaven... ...IF *we* ever make it there, that is....

Jesus said, "Don't" (paraphrasing) However, it's not an unforgivable sin.

Thank you! In the words of Rodney King, "Can we all get along?"

At what point did JESUS tell you...IN THE BIBLE...to call someone a "fool"?
  12. M

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

Not even close. The Bible is STILL an "open book". No Church Father OR Pope has ever claimed that "their" teachings/interpretations to be "completing" the Bible. Nope.

I suggest where you read in "your" bible again.

Interesting...the ones who protest the Catholic beliefs about Mary...and how we 'worship' her, are also holding on tightly to their KJV Bibles. Could it be that they're ALSO practicing 'worship' of that book...and NOT the spirit?
  15. M

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

And....WHERE in "the Bible" does it say this? Plus, the Bible has added books/deleted books over the years. The KJV has only been in existence for a few hundred years. The "Catholic" version has been in existence (with other books that the Protestants removed from the Bible) for over 1500...

Catholics: What does it mean to pray to Mary?

Where does it say in the Bible that Mary is dead?

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

ETA: Catholics DO read the bible and we DO pay MOST attention to Christs words about "Loving God AND loving you neighbor". Yet y'all, don't seem to be too....neighborly. YOU believe YOUR way, I'll believe MINE. In the end, GOD will choose who HE wants in His Kingdom.

the Catholic Church teaches. . .

It's funny. So many protestants come here...and other sites...and BASH Catholics with their, "Where in the bible does it say..." And when Catholics respond, y'all are ready with this whole insulting, condescending attitude. Where in the bible does it say to do that? Oh, oh...

No. You are reading the bible in the 21st century as if IT was written in the 21st century. Don't you GET that the words used in modern text WEREN"T EVEN AVAILABLE 2000 years ago? My goodness, 100 years ago, the word "gay" meant HAPPY. Not so TODAY. Do you not get that some languages don't...

Nope. Read @Bread of Life's outstanding posts again. interesting that Bread of Life hasn't used ANY "extra biblical teachings" to make a strong defense. And NOW who's using "extra biblical teachings"? Or are you just reading the bible and not actually STUDYING it?
