Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

To all of the above Sorry to burst your bubble, but Catholics consider themselves to be Christians. I KNOW!!! I read somewhere a while ago that the author 'wished that the bible had no back page'. I thought that was a rather astute observation.

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Wow. Maybe you better re-read what I wrote...... You really need to read what I wrote again. You are so prejudiced against ANY Catholic because of your HATRED for "them". Seriously, just STOP it.

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Whoa. Before you go on, how about starting with WHERE in the bible does it say that ONLY scripture we should pay attention to? My goodness, if you ONLY went by scripture, you wouldn't be using a computer right now...and riding to work on a camel instead of in a car...because neither...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

I absolutely agree. I seems to be that so many believe that God's spoken word in the bible is the ONLY spoken word...and that God has not revealed Himself either THROUGH Himself or THROUGH others...including Mary...sorry Miriam. Seems that when others believe that the bible is the ONLY...

I don't see any of what you listed as necessarily "Satanistic". I dunno. I mean, what is an "unbeliever"? An atheist (for example) might not believe that Jesus rose from the dead AND YET practice ALL of Christ's teachings. Meanwhile, a "believer" can claim to believe that Christ rose from...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

If you look at it that way, then satan also could have deceived the millions of other non-Catholic Christians. Not even including Muslims. Do you even know that some Muslims can look at YOUR non-Catholic Christianity as a "cult"? Think about it.... I HAVE given it a lot of thought. And...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

You're RIGHT! I completely agree! Well....in the bible, Jesus referred to himself as The Way. Whether Saul knew that or not isn't in the bible. I mean, he got the 'inspiration' from SOMEWHERE. Saul was pretty good at saying that what he was saying was coming "from the Lord" or from his own...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

In the Apostles day and age, the world WAS the universe! Christ wants ALL to come to him. To me, THAT'S universal. He didn't ONLY want a select few, although he knew that would happen. There's a LOT of things that we do that are "unbiblical". Where is it in the bible that we should use...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

I apologize. I didn't mean to come across like, "Look-it-up-for-yourself-what's-wrong-with-you"...thing. More like, "Look-it-up-because-i'm-too-lazy-to-do-so-at-the-moment" :Laughingoutloud:

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Actually, that's very possible!! Then again, how come no original Apostle referred to themselves as "The Way"?

The RCC supports abortion...IN certain circumstances.

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Didn't Christ want his church to be 'universal'? Didn't he say that he wanted the Gospel to be preached to the world? Isn't that "universal"?

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Sure. (Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22) Take Acts 9:-1,2 for example. "But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

I usually enjoy your posts but THIS one...eh. Referring to Catholicism...with 1.3 billion followers as a "cult" has me a bit...wrangled. And yes, I am Catholic. Now, before you roll your eyes at me, let me say that even as a Catholic I do NOT believe in ALL of the Catholic practices. But I...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

I wouldn't say that. Personally, I have no idea what God's intentions are, so I'm not about to judge. Maybe NONE of us should...

Has "Christian Forums" become a Catholic site?

Actually, it was Paul who referred to Christ followers as The Way before he converted. Ignatius of Antioch was the earliest on record to refer to the early Christian church as "Catholic" (or "universal"). But instead of condemning this reference for not being "biblical" maybe try to understand...

    Pope Francis has died

Actually, there are SOME Catholic priests who are married. Mostly in the Eastern Right, but still...there are. And no one is forcing priests to remain celibate. If they don't want to remain celibate, they don't have to be priests. A vow of celibacy is a voluntary vow. We have vows of...

    Pope Francis has died

As a Catholic, I was taught that we don't pray TO Mary, but THROUGH her. In other words, don't pray with the belief that Mary will give me what I'm praying for, but that I'm asking her to ask her son...who will ask Our Father. I used to take my mother to church before she passed away. The...
