God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

You kind of confirm your own point by saying this. It's not. Faith is what matters

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

He's speaking about Spirit baptism. Not water

How are people even arguing with this logic?

    More about Salvation

@Behold what do you make of the verse Hebrews 12:14

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

It says so right there Christ did not send me to baptize. Christ did, however, send Paul to save others. To save everyone he can. Thus baptism is not what saves anyone

Nice attempt. But no, that doesn't fit

Just answer me this @historyb Why would St. Paul thank God that he baptized none of those people?

Are you going to engage with the scriptures I've posted or not?

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

No. That verse says nothing about baptism being required for salvation.

Then you're all preaching works based salvation

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

That's nonsense. You completely miss the point. Which is thus: why would Paul give thanks that he has baptized only two people if baptism was what saved a person? That would be like Paul giving thanks for not saving anyone through faith.

    Rapture vs. Second Coming

Right. Going up and immediately coming back down seems off.

If water baptism was essential for salvation, why would Paul write in 1 Corinthians 1:14 "I thank God that I baptized none of you"? That would mean that he's thanking God for not bringing converts all the way to Christ.

    Rapture vs. Second Coming

I found this interesting and helpful. Below are distinctions between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ. The first same number will denote what happens at the Rapture. The second same number will denote what happens at the Second Coming. 1 Rapture Translation of all believers to...

    I believe OSAS -BUT-

But, I still believe in apostasy. I believe the Lord will keep each of His redeemed by His power. But if someone willingly turns away from Jesus they can be lost. I think there are enough verses to justify this position. My question: Is this stance irreconcilable? Am I just schizophrenic? Blessings

Who wants to Judge a Man of God who lives i Health and Prosperity??

1 Timothy 6:17-19 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19...

Let’s Do a “ Dangerous” Experiment— BB plays “ God”......

I think this verse is very important. It says that while we were dead in sin, God made us alive. God didn't wait for us to become "better " or more righteous on our own. No, He saved us in spite of ourselves and our sinful nature. If sinning after salvation would result in us becoming unsaved...
