Why I'm NOT a Christian. - Or so they say...

I'm not seeing any OP by @St. SteVen titled "Why I am not a Christian." I see only this one titled "Why I am not a Christian - Or so they Say."

What affect is there on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

Are wolves all those posting on this site who disagree with your interpretation of Genesis? If so, I'm running in @St.Steven's pack.

    What's in a name

Be careful where you are going with this. The Trinity is banned subject on this site.

There is only one true church

I've been falsely accused multiple times of claiming that γραφή appears in 2 Thess. 2:15. I'd like one of my accusers to prove it.

Do you REALLY believe Christ DIED?

And what a horrible death! Crucifixion as a form of ultimate torture is evilly ingenious; the pain caused by full body weight hanging from the spikes in the wrists is excruciating, and instinctively forces the victim to push himself up slightly with his legs, which in turn increases the weight...

    The debate... Trump and Harris

And I am not asking you to do any of that for me. I think after being a practicing lawyer for 45 years I can handle it without your help.

    What makes a doctrine false?

The big one is, being open to the possibility of one's errors facilitates learning. Those who cannot admit they are ever wrong, even to themselves, lose out on opportunities for learning.

    What makes a doctrine false?

Fair question. I don't know that there are any. But there are temporal consequences -- and all of them beneficial!

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed (for the third time -- is English your first language?) I have NEVER questioned it's validity!!!!! Where are you getting this from????

The word Rapture DOES APPEAR in the Bible

What's at stake here? Why do we care whether ἁρπάζω is properly or even plausibly translated into English as "rapture?" Does something significant turn on this?

That makes 2 Kings 2:11 apocryphal. (I'm fine with that, by the way.)

How to understand a Greek Lexicon for the word APOSTASIA (or any word)

I've seen this post before,: What is the wine of the wrath of her fornication? Are you the "Rick H" who posted it then?

There is only one true church

Yup, that's what Daniel saw -- someone like a son of man, someone like a human being, given a kingship by God. Everyone agrees that Daniel's vision was of the incarnate Son, Jesus Christ. What's your point? That because the Son became the man Jesus Christ, the Son (not just his flesh) must...

    The Genesis Factor

Nice to have competing viewpoints aired on this site. We disagree. Nothing more to say . . .

    The Genesis Factor

The tradition that Moses was the author of Genesis is an interesting one. (I wonder why a single author would pen two creation accounts?!) But let's call the author Moses (for now). To answer your question -- and I hope your mind is not closed here: Of course he was influenced by his...

There is only one true church

0 doubt in your mind, perhaps. In my mind, I am far from concluding that the Son was "created." (Why do you keep calling Him "Jesus?" That name applies only to the incarnate Son.) The "eternally begotten" formulation at Nicaea has a point to make about how "the beginning" is a poor fit for...

There is only one true church

You affirm what I do not deny. Sure, oral and written tradition are equally binding. Sure, 2 Thess. 2:15 (unlike 2 Tim. 3:16) is about both oral and written tradition. I'm the last person to disagree with either of those propositions! The ONLY thing I have been concerned with here -- and...
