In another post you admitted that you weren't sinless. Meaning you believe you're back under the Law again, since you were too weak to abide in Christ. However, if sinning accidentally would truly put us out from under Grace consistently, then the Spirit would surely not keep coming back to...

We who are in Christ are no longer under the Law. We're under Grace :) Paul was speaking about outsiders of the faith here.

A great example would be sins of omission. James 4:17

    YES, absolutely and emphatically AMEN.

I suppose this makes sense. James 1:2-4 , 1 Peter 1:7 Disagree. I do not believe we go all the way back under the law when we sin mistakenly. This statement paints the picture of Grace/Condemnation again as a revolving door. Inevitably sinning once in a while is not the same as "living...

This is a specific sin though. Not every sin is a sin leading to death. Episkopos' interpretation of John 10:9 is unique. However, after considering it, I've found the idea of going in and out to be flawed. Once we are in Christ, I dont see why Christ would want is to "go out" of Him and then...

Oh, boy, here we go again! All who die without Grace are eternally damned, right? If we have to go back to God for a filling of Grace, it sounds like you are saying we lose that Grace everytime we sin, and forfeit our salvation on a consistent basis. To which I must disagree. However, if you...

True. If we weren't literally covered in the flesh it wouldn't be difficult at all to remain in the Spirit.

Agree. Disagree. Salvation is not a revolving door. Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? I uber disagree here, because I'm not sure I can ascribe to your definition of...

Absolutely. His sacrifice wouldn't have paid the price for the sins of the world had the Lamb of God been blemished by any sin. Do you really not do anything you would count as sin? No unsavory thoughts? No flashes of irritation? No struggle with the flesh whatsoever?

I thought we came to it... by the mercy of God. Why would someone with God-consciousness need a middle ground then? I thought, according to you, having the God-consciousness means we have no need for beliefs or doctrines anymore...? And idk man. Is studying scripture and forming beliefs...

Right and you'know the thing about that is that Paul was obviously, probably, hands-down the most Spirit-filled man walking the earth at the time. Yet even he did not consider himself to have reached the goal. He still acknowledged that he was an imperfect creature, in many ways prone to the...

No, I totally get that. A Christian (born again) will naturally hate their old sin nature and starve it. That's the path I'm on, and hope everyone else is on. But i thought we were talking about initial Grace? We can't earn that, and even if we follow the Lord obediently 100% we are still not...

This shows that the person is still learning. It is feasible that they could eventually come to unlearn their indoctrination in such a way.

If Grace is granted through Faith, and Faith is granted through Grace, then the justification that is by Faith it is not dependant upon our performance. Otherwise it would be said that Grace is owed us, which it is not. Romans 4:3-5 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it...

Disagree. I think it can be said that people here hold religious beliefs, self included. I'm still learning new things each day. A heavily indoctrinated person is a different story. But even then, their doctrine had to form at some point. Even indoctrination isn't a static thing.

Isnt Grace the unmerited favor of God?

Uh, I think you got it backwards, chief. You cant indoctrinate true Faith into someone. That has to come from the heart; a true response to the gospel. Beliefs, otoh, are more doctrinal, dogmatic, structural, etc. These can be taught and written and exposited on.

I used to be more interested in eschatology, but this thread is an example of why I no longer am.

    In Defense of "Free Will"

Freewill is arguably the most well taught doctrine in the entire Bible The Bible has a number of broad, sweeping teachings that support the traditional definition of freewill. Let’s consider a few of these examples. 1. God calls on people to obey, choose, and believe in him (Jn. 15:10; Josh...
