Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Yes, we’re still here awaiting the future coming of Christ. Luke 21:22 says that all things which are written may be fulfilled. I see the events happening in 66-70AD fulfilling things that were written in the Bible but I know not everyone sees it that way.

That is a big problem for Amill. Personally I think Satan was bound from using the Gentiles to destroy Jerusalem. Scripturally there was nothing that prevented Satan from destroying Jerusalem once Messiah is cut off in Daniel 9:26-27. Jerusalem could’ve been destroyed during the seventieth week...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

All these things I believed did happen to John the Baptist which symbolized the law and the prophets, or really, the old covenant that point to Christ. Notice in Revelation 11:19 the ark is seen in heaven, the Ten Commandments were in the ark. I personally think the beast came out of the pit...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

So if we can’t know who is or isn’t saved then how can we know whether or not the strong man’s house is currently being spoiled or not? If you say there is no metric we can use to know if Satan is loosed then there is no argument that can be made to know if he is currently bound or not, which...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

In post #287 you said this … It was never written as already being fulfilled, not even the messages to the 7 churches, as they still had to receive the book themselves to even read what was written in Revelations about them. So now are you arguing that the messages weren’t written or meant...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

I don’t think a time will ever come when we don’t need to preach but you said earlier that there is no need for the gospel to go out when Satan is loosed. If you know there is no need then why would you continue to preach? Unless there would be uncertainty about whether Satan was loosed or not.

Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. When did John decide to start going to the...

I don’t try to paint the whole Amill group with the same brush, I actually think Amill has many points that are valid that I agree with but when it comes to Satan being loosed I think Amill is incorrect. It seems that Amill can clearly identify when Satan was bound, but they all seem to have an...

I’ll admit I’m not completely certain but I think the two witnesses represented the law and the prophets, of which I think John the Baptist symbolized.

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

If the preaching of the gospel ends when Satan is loosed and believers continue to reign then you must conclude that preaching has nothing to do with reigning. Those who were beheaded and reign in Revelation 20:4 were witnessing for Jesus and the word of God. Since the preaching/witnessing ends...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon...

Do you have any evidence that the agreement made in Galatians 2:9 was ever rescinded? If not then we should be using this information as profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Well unless you can show what event took place after 70AD and within their...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

I’m going to tell you what happened to me quite a few years ago. I don’t know if you’ve heard of a guy named Harold Camping or not but he was Amill and thought that Satan had been loosed and that the end was soon to come. He also thought that no one else was being saved at that time and that we...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

So then what about a verse such as Amos 3:7? Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Are you saying believers won’t be able to recognize Satan being loosed when it was very obvious and easy to discern when he was bound?

I agree there is a point where there are no unbelievers among us but there will be unbelievers among us during Satans little season and that’s the problem. Think about this kind of situation, it’s the next day after Satan has been loosed, and Gentile neighbor Bob comes over. Bob_I know I’ve...

Matthew 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. This is what I mean by spoiling his house. The strong man’s house contents are spoiled but once he is loosed it can no longer be...

All good questions, I’m not sure how the Amill will be able to answer them but I’m interested in looking at their responses if they choose to answer.

Yes, I agree that it’s the ungodly that deny the power and I also agree that the gospel never loses its power. How is it then that the strong man’s house can no longer be spoiled once Satan is loosed? Believers would still be reigning with Christ and going into all the world preaching the gospel.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Well the power of the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Yet once the strong man is loosed the gospel can no longer...

I posted this previously to Marty, maybe you can comment on this. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come … 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. The power of the gospel cannot be what binds Satan in the...
