If not ages of ages. - LOL Strange that anyone would claim on this forum that we already know. [

Claimed prophetic fulfillment seems highly questionable. - Were they acquired rather than intended?

I posted a couple of topics about (supposed) OT prophecy and NT references to them. (misquoted claims) I would like to get a reaction from those more familiar with the subject. Topic links below...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

That verse and image really sums it up up nicely. Thanks. When we finally meet Jesus face-to-face, the absolute truth will be made known to us. Or at least as much as we can comprehend. How much will we be allowed to know? How long will it take to comprehend it all? 1 Corinthians 13:12 NIV...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

St. SteVen said: This is why I think it is a mistake to assume a person has to make a decision before they enter the afterlife. That is not what I wrote. (see my quote above) You twisted what I said in order to bear false witness against me. Thanks. I think it is a VERY...

Of what value is the fulfillment of OT prophecy? - since the prophecies were acquired rather than intended

That's a very interesting observation. Thanks. But we are still left with the obvious problem of claimed prophetic fulfillment that is highly questionable. Do we want to base a pattern on that? There seems to be a pattern of dishonesty. [

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

That definitely happens. (now and then) Here's my favorite. Hebrews 11:8 NIV By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. [

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

Fortunately we have plenty of other evidence that Jesus is who he said he was. (although there are question about WHAT he actually said to convey that) However, when we give these supposed prophecies a hard look, they are not holding up very well. If Jesus is real in your life, THAT is the...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Yes. No. Everyone is already saved due to the completed work of the atonement. The Age of Restoration is for evaluation/correction/restoration/redemption. Mark 9:49 NIV Everyone will be salted with fire. Malachi 3:2 NIV But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he...

Of what value is the fulfillment of OT prophecy? - since the prophecies were acquired rather than intended

Intended means it was the OT writers intent. (an actual prophecy) Acquired means the NT writer claimed it as a prophecy. (even though it was not the OT writers intent) Best to read through the previous topic. (examples are given)...

Of what value is the fulfillment of OT prophecy? - since the prophecies were acquired rather than intended

Question: Was that the intention of the writer of the 2nd Psalm, or was the prophecy acquired? [
