Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Apokatastasis in the Bible I thought Apokatastasis was only a theological term from the early church. Now I come to find out that it is in the Bible as a word in the NT Greek text. Thanks to my good friend and dear brother @Chadrho for pointing it out. Here it is. Acts 3:21 NIV...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

St. SteVen said: By what means are we saved? Good. Was it a complete work, or an incomplete work? [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

St. SteVen said: """"This is why I think it is a mistake to assume a person has to make a decision before they enter the afterlife.""""" Behold said: You just posted that its a mistake to Trust in Christ while you are alive. Two different things. A mistake to assume... not a mistake to trust...

My post is #139 His post is #160 (though he quotes and then misquotes mine) [
  5. St. SteVen

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

Agree. I would like to understand why the NT authors felt justified in what they did. Or that the translators, or whoever is responsible to be brought to light. There is an obvious literary problem here. Things don't add up. Why? No. But someone has a LOT of 'splaining to do. - LOL [

Please provide the post number where I wrote that. I wrote no such thing. [

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

So is assuming there are no problems when the facts say otherwise. [
  9. St. SteVen

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

@Wick Stick explained it very clearly with the sources quoted for you. Obviously Matthew acquired that quote (misquote) out-of-context and misrepresented it as a messianic prophecy. I understand that this is very uncomfortable for you, but those are the facts. [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

You are lying to us about what I said? Somehow you are justified in that? [
  11. St. SteVen

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Here's what I wrote to you in post #139. I asked @Behold a question which he refused (neglected?) to answer. "By what means are we saved?" [
  12. St. SteVen

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

    1) That's not what I said. 2) This is a Christian forum. I wasn't speaking to unbelievers. This is why people hate Christians. They don't want to be like you. Which is more off-putting than anything I could write. [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Readers can see your post #160 St. SteVen said: This is why I think it is a mistake to assume a person has to make a decision before they enter the afterlife. I said no such thing. [
  14. St. SteVen

Were messianic prophecies acquired, rather than intended? (in the original texts)

BINGO! That's the problem. If the OT quote is not connected to the NT event, then it was acquired out-of-context. And worse than that, if the NT verse claims it is to fulfill and OT prophecy, that is dishonest. [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Thanks. I appreciate that. Everyone likes to jump to conclusions instead of asking me what I meant. [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

That saw cuts both ways. [
  17. St. SteVen

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

No. You could apologize for twisting my words in a misquote and lying about me. But you probably won't because you feel justified in your misdeeds. (the end justifies the means) ??? [

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

St. SteVen said: I think it is a VERY good idea for a person to trust Christ while they are still alive. That doesn't sound like an apology to me. But what means are we saved? [
