Salvation is not independent of hearing and following Christ.

God never provided UNCONDITIONAL assurance of salvation to man no matter what man does. But if men CONDITIONALLY continue to hear and follow Christ (John 10:27) then man can have the assurance he shall never perish (John 10:28)
